YMCA of Pamunugama is proud to announce the installation of a 6.26 kWp solar power system, a milestone in our commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility. After a careful and lengthy process, the system was successfully connected to the National Grid on Monday, 15 September 2025. It is expected to generate around 600 kWh monthly from this project.
This project was made possible through the generous support of our partners at Munich YMCA, Germany, and with special gratitude to Mr. Martin Knorich, a dear friend, well-wisher, and member of Munich YMCA, who really likes to implement projects to live more simple and sustainable.
With this step, we look forward to reducing our carbon footprint and contributing to the global green cause while ensuring long-term energy sustainability for our YMCA.
