පිටිපන දේවස්ථානයේ පැවැති දහම් පාසල් ශිෂ්‍යනායක නායිකා වැඩමුළුව

පිටිපන දේවස්ථානයට අනුබද්ධ  පිටිපන සහ මංකුලිය යන දහම් පාසල්හී ශිෂ්‍ය නායක නායිකාවන් සඳහා නායකත්ව පුහුණු වැඩමුළුවක් 2025 මාර්තු 2 වැනි දින පිටිපන දේවස්ථානයේදී පවත්වන ලදී.  මේ සඳහා දහම් පාසල් දෙක නියෝජනය කරමින් ශිෂ්‍ය නායක නායිකාවන් පනස් දෙනකුට සම්බන්ධ විය. දේවස්ථාන සහායක පියතුමා වන සුරාජ් පීරිස් පියතුමාගේ මැදිහත්වීමෙන් මෙම වැඩසටහන සංවිධානය කර තිබූ අතරිනන් එදින ක්‍රියාකාරකම් සඳහා පහසුකම් සැපයීමට මීගමුව සහ පමුණුගම යන තරුණ ක්‍රිස්තියානි සංගම් වෙත ආරාධනය කර තිබිණ.  

මෙම වැඩමුළුව සඳහා මීගමුව YMCA හි ප්‍රධාන ලේකම් රමේෂ් කන්නා, මීගමුව YMCA හි සාමාජික සාමාජිකාවන් වන අයෝමි, ලහිරු සහ සුනෙත් මෙන්ම පමුණුගම, YMCA ප්‍රධාන ලේකම් රිද්ම ෆොන්සේකා විසින් පහසුකම් සපයන ලදී.   

නායකත්වය පිළිබඳ ක්‍රීඩා, සිද්ධි අධ්‍යයන සහ සාකච්ඡා හරහා සහභාගිවන්නන් ප්‍රධාන නායකත්ව ගුණාංග, කණ්ඩායම් ක්‍රියාකාරකම් සහ ගැටළු විසඳීමේ කුසලතා පිළිබඳව අත්දැකීම් එකතු කරගන්නා ලදී. සහභාගිවන්නන්ට සහතික පත්‍රයක් ද පිරිනැමුණු අතර විවිධ ක්‍රියාකාරකම්වලින් පිරුණු මෙම දිනය සතුට දැනුම සහ විනෝදය පිරි දිනයක් වූ බවට සහභාගී වූවන්ගේ සහ සංවිධානය කරන දේවස්ථාන නායකයින්ගේ අදහස් වලින් පිළිබිඹු විය.

Empowering Future Leaders: YMCA Facilitates Leadership Workshop for Sunday School Prefects

On March 2, 2025, the Mother of Purification Church, Pitipana, organized a leadership workshop for the prefects of the Pitipana and Mankuliya Sunday Schools. At the invitation of Rev. Fr. Suraj Peiris, Assistant Parish Priest, the Negombo and Pamunugama YMCAs facilitated the sessions of the day, engaging 50 enthusiastic students in leadership development activities.

The workshop was led by Ramesh Kanna, General Secretary of Negombo YMCA; Ridma Fonseka, General Secretary of YMCA Pamunugama; Ayomi, Board Member of Negombo YMCA; along with Lahiru and Suneth, members of Negombo YMCA.

Through interactive games, real-life case studies, and discussions, participants explored key leadership qualities, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. The hands-on approach made the learning experience both educational and enjoyable.

It was a day filled with knowledge, inspiration, and fun, leaving the young leaders motivated to apply their newfound skills in their day today work as leaders. Participants were awarded with a certificate as well. The Negombo and Pamunugama YMCAs are happy to contribute to this meaningful initiative and remain committed to empowering youth for a brighter future!

Makalause Dream School Task Committee Meets

The Makalosa Dream School Task Committee convened on the morning of February 26th at Crab Cove, Talahena. This eleven-member group comprises Makalosa Dream School staff and volunteers from the YMCA of Pamunugama.

The committee is tasked with continuously monitoring the progress of the Dream School’s goals and objectives for 2025, identifying creative solutions to challenges, and actively contributing to various initiatives.

During the meeting, the staff provided updates on the school’s activities, followed by in-depth discussions on national-level efforts for disability Inclusion. The Task Force also focused on key areas such as children's nutrition, opportunities for vocational training, and strategies to improve overall health and well-being.

මාකලෝසා සිහින පාසලේ කාර්ය සාධක කමිටුව රැස්වෙයි.

මාකලෝසා සිහිනය පාසලේ කාර්ය සාධක කමිටුවේ බෙපරවාරි මස 26 දින උදෑසන වරුවේ තලාහෙන ක්‍රැබ් කෝව් හීදී රැස්විය. මාකලෝසා  සිහින පාසලේ කාර්ය මණ්ඩලයේ සහ පමුණුගම තරුණ ක්‍රිස්තියානි සංගමයේ ස්වේච්ඡා සාමාජිකයන්ගෙන් සැදුම්ලත් මෙම කණ්ඩායම එකොළොස් දෙනෙකුගෙන් සමන්විත වේ. 

2025 වසරට අදාළව සහ සිහිනය පාසලේ කටයුතු හා බැඳුණු අරමුණු සාක්ෂාත් කර ගැනීම පිළිබඳව නිරන්තර අධීක්ෂණයක යෙදීම, ගැටලු සහ අභියෝග හමුවේ නිර්මාණශීලී විසඳුම් සෙවීම සහ විවිධ ක්‍රියාකාරකම් සඳහා දායකත්වය ලබාදීම මෙම කමිටුවේ වගකීමයි. 

පාසලේ වැඩ කටයුතු සම්බන්ධයෙන් සහ කාර්ය මණ්ඩලය විසින් අනෙකුත් සාමාජික සාමාජිකාවන් දැනුවත් කරනු ලැබූ අතර, ආබාධ සහිත ප්‍රජාවගේ අන්තර්කරණය සඳහා වන ජාතික මට්ටමේ මැදිහත්වීම පිළිබඳව දීර්ඝව සාකච්ඡා කෙරිණ. දරුවන්ගේ පෝෂණය,  වෘත්තීය පුහුණු සඳහා යොමුකිරීමට තිබෙන අවස්ථාවන් සොයා බැලීම, සෞඛ්‍ය තත්ත්වය නඟා සිටුවීම පිළිබඳව ද කාර්ය සාධක කමිටුවේ අවධානයට ලක් විය. 

පමුණුගම බාලදක්ෂයින් ලෝක බාලදක්ෂ දිනය සමරයි

ලෝක බාලදක්ෂ දිනය සැමරීම සඳහා පමුණුගම තරුණ ක්‍රිස්තියානි සංගමය විසින් වැඩසටහනක් 2025 පෙබරවාරි 22 වන දින සංගම් පරිශ්‍රයේදී සංවිධානය කරන ලදී. බාලදක්ෂ ව්‍යාපාරයේ නිර්මාතෘ බේඩන් පවෙල් සාමිවරයා සිහිපත් කිරීම සහ බාලදක්ෂ සේවාවේ වටිනාකම් සැමරීම මෙම වැඩසටහනෙහි අරමුණ විය. 

බාලදක්ෂයින් 27 දෙනෙකු, මාකලෝසා සිහින පාසලේ බාලදක්ෂයින් 10 දෙනෙකු, මව්වරුන් ඇතුළු ස්වේච්ඡා සේවකයන් 13 දෙනෙකු ඇතුළු දෙනෙකු මෙම අවස්ථාවට සහභාගී විය. වැඩසටහන බාලදක්ෂ රැලියෙන් ආරම්භ වූ අතර එහිදී බාලදක්ෂයින් විසින් බේඩන් පවෙල් සාමිවරයා සහ බාලදක්ෂ කටයුතු ආරම්භය සිහිපත් කරන ලදී.

විවධ ක්‍රියාකාරකම්හී යෙදෙමින් බාලදක්ෂයින් දිනය ගතකරන ලදි. ඔවුන් විවෘත ගින්නක් මත රොටි සෑදූ අතර එය බොහෝ දෙනෙකුට සිත්ගන්නාසුලු අත්දැකීමක් විය. සිදු කරනු ලැබූ කණ්ඩායම් ක්‍රියාකාරකම් තුලින් මිත්‍රත්වය සහ අබාද සහිත සිසුන් අන්තර්කරණය ගොඩනගා ගැනීමට හැකි විය.  පසුව ඔවුන් විනෝදාත්මක චිත්‍රපටයක් නැරඹින. තවත් විශේෂ කටයුත්තක් වූයේ සාම සිතුවමක් පින්තාරු කිරීමයි.

BP Day Celebrations at YMCA of Pamunugama

The YMCA of Pamunugama organized a BP Day programme on 22nd February 2025 at the YMCA premises. The event was held to remember Lord Baden-Powell, the founder of the Scout Movement, and to celebrate the values of Scouting.

A total of 50 Scouts including 27 YMCA Scouts, 10 Scouts from Makalause Dream School, and 13 volunteers and parents parents, took part in the event. The programme started with a Rally, where the Scouts remembered Lord Baden-Powell and the beginning of Scouting.

The Scouts had a fun and eventful day. They made roti on an open fire, which was an exciting experience for many. They also played games, which helped them build teamwork, friendship and disability inclusion. Later, they watched a movie, which was entertaining. Another special activity was the peace painting, where the Scouts expressed their thoughts on peace through art.

The day was filled with happiness, learning, and teamwork. The Scouts and volunteers enjoyed every moment and took home wonderful memories.

පමුණුගම මීගමුව මිත්‍රත්ව ක්‍රිකට් තරඟාවලියේ 4 වන අධියර

පමුණුගම සහ මීගමුව තරුණ ක්‍රිස්තියානි සංගම් අතර පැවැත්වෙන මිත්‍රත්ව ක්‍රිකට් තරඟාවලියේ 4 වන අධියර 2025 පෙබරවාරි 1 වන දින දුන්ගල්පිටිය මහජන ක්‍රීඩාංගණයේදී පැවැත්විණි. එය මිත්‍රත්වය සහ විශිෂ්ට ක්‍රීඩාශීලිත්වයෙන් පිරුණු දවසක් විය.

කණ්ඩායම් දෙක අතර පන්දුවාර 10 තරග තුනක් පැවැත්විණි. මීගමුව තරුණ ක්‍රිස්තියානි සංගමය ඉන් තරඟ තුනට දෙකක් ලෙස ජයග්‍රාහනය කොට මිත්‍රත්ව කුසලානයට හිමිකම් කියන ලදි. මීළඟ වසරේ පැවැත්වෙන මීලඟ තරඟ වාරය දක්වා මෙම විශේෂ කුසලානය ඔවුන් සතු වනු ඇත. මෙම විශේෂ සම්ප්‍රදාය අපගේ බැඳීම ශක්තිමත් කරන අතර ක්‍රීඩාවේ ජීවගුනය ජීවමාන කරයි.

මිරාජ්ගේ නායකත්වයෙන් යුත් පමුණුගම කණ්ඩායම සහ ජෙෆ්රිගේ නායකත්වයෙන් යුත් මීගමුව කණ්ඩායම තරඟාවලිය පුරාවටම විශිෂ්ට සාමූහික දක්ෂතාවයක් පෙන්නුම් කළහ. මෙම වාර්ෂීක වැඩසටහන නිකම්ම තරඟාවලියකට වඩා සහෝදරත්වයේ සහ ක්‍රීඩාශීලිත්වයේ සැමරීමක් වන අතර ක්‍රීඩාව තුළින් තාරුන්‍ය එක් රැස් කිරීම තරුණ ක්‍රිස්තියානි සංගම් හී ප්‍රදාන කර්තව්‍යයක් වේ.

Pamunugama Negombo Friendship Cricket – 4th Edition

The 4th edition of the Pamunugama Negombo Friendship Cricket was held on 1st February 2025 at the Dungalpitiya Public Ground. It was a day full of exciting cricket, friendship, and great sportsmanship.

Three 10-over matches were played between the two teams. Negombo won the best out of three and proudly took home the Friendship Cup, which will remain at their YMCA until the next edition. This unique tradition strengthens our bond and keeps the spirit of the game alive.

The Pamunugama team, led by Miraj, and the Negombo team, led by Jefry, showed great teamwork and skill throughout the tournament. More than just a competition, this event was a celebration of brotherhood and sportsmanship.

We look forward to the next edition and another chance to bring our communities together through cricket!

YMCA Youth Discuss on Social Responsibilities

The first discussion in the series on understanding and implementing social responsibility was held at the Pamunugama YMCA on January 11. The meeting was attended by several representatives from the Youth Club of the YMCA of Pamunugama and the Political Literacy Committee of the Janodanaya.

Moderated by Fr. Sarath Iddamalgoda, the discussion focused on key issues such as humanity, various forms of oppression, and ways to overcome them. The group agreed to hold the next discussion on the theme of "Renaissance." In preparation, the youth participants committed to developing an action plan to fulfill their social responsibility.

සමාජ වගකීම තේරුම් ගැනීම

සමාජ වගකීම තේරුම් ගැනීම සහ ක්‍රියාත්මකවීම පිළිබඳව සංවාද මාලාවේ මූලික සංවාදයක් ජනවාරි මස 11 වන දින පමුණුගම YMCA හීදී පැවැත්වින. යොවුන් හවුලේ නියෝජිතයින් කීපදෙනෙක් සහ ජනෝදානය කණ්ඩායමේ දේශපාලන සාක්ෂරතාවය පිළිබඳ කමිටුවේ නියෝජිතයින් මෙම රැස්වීම සඳහා සහභාගී විය.

සරත් ඉද්දමල්ගොඩ පියතුමන් විසින් සංවාදය මෙහෙයවූ අතර මනුෂ්‍යත්වය, පීඩිතභාවයේ විවිධ හැඩයන් සහ එයින් මිදීම සඳහා කුමක් කළ යුතුද වැනි කරුණු එහිදී අවධානයට ලක්විය. මීලඟ සංවාදය පුනරුදය පිළිබඳව සිදු කිරීමට කණ්ඩායම එකඟ වූ අතර ඊට පෙර සමාජ වගකීම ඉටුකිරීමෙහි ලා ක්‍රියාකාරී සැලැස්මක් සකසා ගැනීමටද තරුණ පිරිස එකඟ විය.
