Pre-School Kids Celebrates New Year Traditions - අවුරුදු චාරිත්‍ර සැමරුම් පෙර පාසල් දරුවන්

Sinhalese New Year, generally known as Aluth Avurudda in Sri Lanka, is a Sri Lankan holiday that celebrates the traditional New Year of the Sinhalese and Tamil people of Sri Lanka. It is a major anniversary celebrated by most Sri Lankans.  The timing of the New Year coincides with the new year celebrations of many traditional calendars of South and South East Asia. It is generally celebrated on 13 April or 14 April and traditionally begins at the sighting of the New Moon.

Pre-School Children of the YMCA of Pamunugama celebrated the New Year traditions on 08 April, 2022. Kids held number of traditional activities including boiling milk, eating traditional food and Oil Anointing Festival (Hisa Thel Gema). All the kids wore traditional clothes making the day a colorful one. 

සෑම වසරකම පාහේ මෙවරද පමුණුගම තරුණ ක්‍රිස්තියානි සංගමයේ පෙර පෙරපාසල් දරුවන් විසින් අවුරුදු චාරිත්‍ර සැමරීමේ වැඩසටහනක් 2022 අප්‍රියල් මස 8 වන දින සංවිධානය කර තිබෙන. මෙදින සියලු දරුවන් වර්ණවතර්ණවත් සම්ප්‍රදායික ඇඳුම් වලින් සැරසී පාසලට පැමිණ සිටි අතර කිරි කිරීමෙන් අවුරුදු චාරිත්‍රව වැඩසටහන ආරම්භ කෙරිණ.

දරුවන් සහ ගුරුවරුන් එක්ව ඉතා ප්‍රණීත ආහාර කෑම මේසයක් සකසා තිබූ අත් අතර එය විවිධ අවුරුදු කෑම වර්ග වලින් සමන්විත විය.  ආහාර අනුභවයෙන් පසුව දරුවන් හට අවුරුද්ද පිළිබඳව ගුරුවරුන් විසින් පහදා දුන් අතර හිසත තෙල් ගෑමේ චාරිත්‍රය ද, අවුරුදු රබන් වැයීමේ චාරිත්‍රය ද මෙහිදී සිදු කෙරිණ.
