"Nihanda" is the official Sinhala (local language) newsletter of the YMCA of Pamunugama since its 1st issue in 01 May 1978. YMCA of Pamunugama proudly presented its 50th issue at a ceremony held on 30 August 2020 at the YMCA Main Hall. 50th eddition was issues as a book containing of selected articles from past Nihanda editions.
During the ceremony, the attendees including Members, invitees and friends had a look back at the journey that Nihanda came since 1978. YMCA also took this opportunity to extend the gratitude to 7 past editors of Nihanda News Letter by recognizing them at the ceremony and presenting a plague in memory of their contribution.
Attorney at Law Vincent Bulathsinghela was the chef speaker of the ceremony and delivered his presentation on Civil Society Engagement and use of media. On be half of Rev Fr Sarath Iddamalgoda, Mr. Bulathsinghela acknowledged the first copy of the 50th issue. Children and youth of the YMCA also added colors to the event by performing a dance and a song.
