YMCA supports the education of flood effected communities

45 students in Kandasurindugama village in Negombo received stationery sets from the YMCA of Pamunugama on 2nd June, 2016. Kandasurindugama is a village with economically marginalized community.

Due to the flood situation that Sri Lanka went through couple of months back, Kandasurindugama also effected. This deserving  community was introduced to the YMCA by Rev Fr. Sarath Iddamalgoda who is a Human Rights Activist and a close friend of YMCA of Pamunugama.

Flood relief programme of the National Council of YMCAs of Sri Lanka took part in this great community service by providing necessary stationery sets where each set consisted of books, pens, pencils, water bottle, valuable school bag and etc.
