Members of the Children's Club and the Girl Guide Group of the YMCA of Pamunugama joined with a trip to Sinharaja Virgin Rain Forest on 27 & 28 August 2014. They went this trip as their annual trip.During this visit group spent the first night at the Forest Department Bangalow and the next day morning they went into the forest with a guide who explained the surrounding and the importance of the Sinharajah Forest.
During the trip they had the opportunity to join with a special lecture on environment and to meet Mr. Martin who is a 90 year old genius on the Sinharaja Forest.
This trip was organized with the support of the Forest Department Office in Gampaha and the 3 officers of the Gampaha District Forest Department Office also joined the trip to educate children. Two mothers and 3 YMCA leaders accompanied the children.
