YMCA Scout Camp in Matale, Atanwala

A three-day scout camp organized by the YMCA of Pamunugama Scout Troop was recently held at Atanwala, Matale.

Seventeen scouts of the Association as well as seven scouts of "Makalause Dream" YMCA School for children with disabilities attended the camp. Group of twelve leaders including parents and teachers also participated in the event. 

The camp, which was conducted by the Scout leaders of the association, consisted of many different activities. Campers hiked to the top of Manigala hill which is located four kilometers away from the camp site. During the hike campers were given the task to learn about Manigala and the bio-diversity of the nature they were hiking through. The camp site was surrounded by traditional rice paddies. A conversation with a traditional farmer was also organized to learn about the traditional method of paddy farming in Sri Lanka. Apart from this, the camp consisted of outdoor cooking session, safe trekking, campfire, song singing, team games and many challenging activities. The children had the opportunity to enjoy the camp environment and enjoy swimming in the nearby Thelgamu Oya as well..

මාතලේ, ඇටන්වල පැවති පමුණුගම තරුණ ක්‍රිස්තියානි සංගම් බාලදක්ෂ කදවුර

පමුණුගම තරුණ ක්‍රිස්තියානි සංගමයේ බාලදක්ෂ බාලදක්ෂිකාවන්ගේ සහභාගිත්වයෙන් තෙදින බාලදක්ෂ කදවුර කඳවුරක් පසුගියදා මාතලේ ඇටන්වල ග්‍රාමයේදී පැවැත්විණ. 

මේ සඳහා සංගමයේ බාලදක්ෂ බාලදක්ෂිකාවන් දාහත් දෙනෙකු මෙන්ම සංගමයේ ආබාධ සහිත දරුවන් සඳහා වූ මාකලෝසා සීහින පාසලේ බාලදක්ෂ බාලදක්ෂිකාවන් හත්දෙනකු සහ නායක නායිකාවන් සහ දෙමාපියන් නියෝජනය කරමින් දොළොස් දෙනකු ගෙන් යුතු පිරිසක් ද සහභාගී විය.

සංගමයේ බාලදක්ෂ නායක නායිකාවන් විසින් මෙහෙය වූ මෙම කඳවුරට විවිධ ක්‍රියාකාරකම් රැසක් ඇතුළත් විය. පා ගමන කඳවුරු භූමියට කිලෝමීටර් හතරක් දුරින් පිහිටා තිබූ මානිගල කඳු මුදුන වෙත සංවිධානය කර තිබූ අතර  මානිගල පිළිබඳව සහ ඒ අවට පරිසර කලාපය පිළිබඳව ද දරුවන් අධ්‍යයනයක නිරත විය. කඳවුරු භූමිය වට වී තිබුණේ පාරම්පරික ක්‍රමයට වගා කෙරෙන කුඹුරු යායවල් වලිනි. පාරම්පරික ක්‍රමයට කුඹුරු ගොවිතැන සිදුවන ආකාරය පිළිබඳව ද දැනුවත් කිරීම සඳහා පාරම්පරික ගොවි මහතෙකු සමග සංවාදයක් ද සංවිධානය කර තිබිණ. මීට අමතරව භාජන රහිත කෑම පිසීම, ආරක්ෂිතව කඳු බැසීම, ගිනිමැල සංදර්ශනය, ගීත ගායනා, කණ්ඩායම් ක්‍රීඩා සහ අභියෝගාත්මක ක්‍රියාකාරකම් රැසකින් කදවුර සමන්විත විය. කඳවුරු  පරිසරය රස විඳීමටත් ආසන්නයෙන් ගලා ගිය තෙල් තෙල්ගමු ඔයේ දිය නාමින් සතුටු වීමටත් දරුවන්ට අවස්ථාව උදාවිය.

කදවුර සාර්ථකව පැවත්වීමට සඳහා දායකත්වය ලබාදුන් සියළුම නායක නායිකාවන්ට, කාර්ය මණ්ඩලයේ සාමාජික සාමාජිකාවන්ට සහ දෙමාපියන්ට සංගමයේ ස්තුතිය පුදකර සිටිමු.

Carrol Visit after preparing the crib - ගවලෙන සෑදීමෙන් පසු කැරොල් සංචාරයේ යෙදුණු සංගමයේ දරුවන්

With the support of Youth a beautiful crib was made at the YMCA. Maleesha, Hirusha and Shinesh who are senior scouts worked a full day to make it. After making the crib, children of YMCA went from home to home share the good news of the birth of our saviour Jesus Christ.

During the visit they sang carols and shared gifts with the children of families they visited. 

සංගමය වැඩිහිටි බාලදක්ෂයන්ගේ මැදිහත්වීමෙන් ඉතා සුන්දර ගවලෙනක් සංගම් භූමියේ දී නිර්මාණය කෙරිණ. මෙම ගවලෙන් නිර්මාණය කිරීම සඳහා සම්පූර්ණ දිනයක් වැය වූ අතර  මලීෂ, ශිනේෂ් සහ හිරුෂ මේ සඳහා නායකත්වය ගන්නා ලදී.

ඉන් අනතුරුව සංගමයේ ළමා සාමාජික සාමාජිකාවන් කැරොල් ගායනා කරමින් ගම පුරා වීදි සංචාරය කෙරින.

මෙහිදී ඔවුන් නිවාස බොහොමයක් බැහැදුටු අතර එම නිවාස වල දරුවන් සමග ත්‍යාග ලබාදෙමින් සහ කැරොල් ගීත ගායනා කරමින් සුභාරංචියේ සතුට බෙදා බෙදාගන්නා ලදී. 

Annual Gifts for Children of YMCA and Pamunugama Girls Home - දරුවන් සඳහා නත්තල් ත්‍යාග පෙට්ටි මෙවරත්

With the support of a Christian Group from Australia (Help Orphans Now) YMCA distributed gift boxes to the the children of the Pamunugama Girls Home and  the children who attend different YMCA programmes (Pre-School, Makalause Dream School, Scout Group).

Pre-school kids and the children with disabilities of Makalause Dream School received their gifts on 20 December. Scouts received their gifts at their year end gathering held on 23 December and the gifts for the girls home were distributed on 24the December.

This event brought a lot of joy to the children in Pamunugama as the boxes were filled with valuable and interesting gifts including clothing, stationery, toys and sanitory items. YMCA of Pamunugama extend its gratitude to Help Orphans Now for carrying this generous act annually.

ඕස්ට්‍රේලියාවේ ජීවත්වන කිතුණු කණ්ඩායමකින් සැදුම්ලත් Help Orphans Now සංවිධානයේ මැදිහත්වීමෙන් පමුණුගම ළමා නිවාසයේ දරුවන් සඳහා සහ සංගමයේ බාලදක්ෂ වැඩසටහන්, පෙර පාසල සහ මාකලෝසා සිහිනය පාසලේ දරුවන් හට ත්‍යාග පාර්සල් ලබාදීම මෙවර සිදුවිය.

මාකලෝසා සිහින පාසලේ සහ පෙර පාසලේ දරුවන් සඳහා ත්‍යාග දෙසැම්බර් 20 දින ලබාදුන් අතර දෙසැම්බර් 22 දින පැවති වර්ෂ අවසාන එකමුතුවේදී බාලදක්ෂ බාලදක්ෂිකාවන් හට ඔවුන්ගේ ත්‍යාග ප්‍රධානය සිදුකෙරින. පමුණුගම ළමා නිවාසයේ දරුවන් හට දෙසැම්බර් 24 දින ත්‍යාග බෙදාදින.

ඇඳුම්, ලිපිද්‍රව්‍ය, සෙල්ලම් භාන්ඩ වලින් ත්‍යාග පාර්සල් සැදුම්ලත්ව තිබූ අතර මෙම ත්‍යාග ලැබීමෙන් දරුවන් බොහෝසේ සතුටු විය. මෙම කාරුණික ක්‍රියාව වාර්ෂිකව සිදුකරන Help Orphans Now සංවිධානය වෙත සංගමයේ ස්තූතිය පුදකරමු.

Members get-together 2022 - වර්ෂ අවසාන සාමාජික එකමුතුව

Annual get-together of YMCA of Pamunugama was held on 22 December at the YMCA main hall with the participation of over 50 active members.

During the gathering members enjoyed the joy of Christmas by singing carrols / songs, taking part on games and having a fellowship dinner.

සංගමයේ සාමාජිකයින්ගේ වර්ෂ අවසාන එකමුතුව 2022 දෙසැම්බර් මස 22 වන දින සංගම් ශාලාවේදී පැවැත්වින. මේ සඳහා සංගමයේ ක්‍රියාකාරී සාමාජික සාමාජිකාවන් 50 කට අධික පිරිසක් සහභාගීවිය.

මෙහිදී සාමාජික සාමාජිකාවන් කැරොල් සහ ගීත ගායනා කරමින්, විනෝද ක්‍රියාකාරකම් වල යෙදෙමින් සහ රාත්‍රී අහාරය ලබාගනිම්න් සතුටු විය.

"පිබිදෙන දෑත්" - අත්කම් නිර්මාණ ප්‍රදර්ශනය - Exibition of Makalause Dream School

මාකලෝසා සිහිනය පාසලේ ආබාධ සහිත දරුවන්ගේ අත්කම් නිර්මාණ ප්‍රදර්ශනයක් 2022 දෙසැම්බර් මස 20 දින දවස පුරා දෑලතුර පිහිටි පාසල් පරිශ්‍රයේදී පැවැත්වින.

මෙම ප්‍රදර්ශනය සඳහා ගුරුවරුන්ගේ මැදිහත්වීමෙන් දරුවන් මාස කීපයක සිට සූදානම් වූ අතර දරුවන් හට ලබාදෙන වෘත්තීය පුහුණු වැඩසටහන හරහා දරුවන් හට ලබාදුන් හැකියාවන් එළිදැක්වීමද මෙහිදී සිදුවිය.

ප්‍රදර්ශනයේ අරාධීත අමුත්තන් ලෙස සංගමයේ සභාපති ධනුක ජයමාන්න මහතා සහ දැලතුර දේවස්ථානයේ මීසම් සේවක පියතුමන්ද සහභාගීවිය. ප්‍රදර්ශනය නැරඹීම සඳහා සංගමයේ සමාජික සාමාජිකාවන්, පෙර පාසලේ සිසුවියන් සහ ප්‍රදේශවාසීන් ඇතුළු පිරිසක් සහභාගී විය.

Exhibition of handicrafts made by the students of Makalause Dream School "YMCA school for the children with disabilities" was held on 20, December 2022 at the school premises.

Children prepared for this exibition for last several months with the support of teachers and parents. This event was also an opportunity showcase the outcome of the  knowledge provided through the livelihood training programme.

Danuka Jayamanne, Preesident of Pamunugama YMCA and the pries of Delathura Church graced the occasion as guests. Several villagers, members of Pamunugama YMCA, pre-school children visited the exhibition.
