Think New, Improvise and move on with young people.!

Without a doubt, Cricket is the game that attracts most in Sri Lanka. It is an expensive game and only few can play this game in the competitive level. YMCA organized a Cricket tournament recently in the YMCA premises. One may think that YMCA does not have enough space to play Cricket. Believe, you can play it in the YMCA if you improvise and think new.

Tournament was organized under flood lights and rules were a bit different fitting to the space and number of players played for a team. There were ten teams took part in the tournament (all together 50 players) and around 100 villagers came to witness this new idea.

There were two teams representing the YMCA Children's Club Leaders and Youth Club played and the youth ended-up as runners-up and the Children's Club Leaders reached up to the semi finals. Team from Santosa Foundation grabbed the Championship. Young people very much appreciated this new initiative by the YMCA and requested for another event in the near future.
