Apart of the weekly classes, there will be two camps during these four months to give more opportunities to the students to practically experience the English language. English has been considered as yet another subject where they have to sit for an written exam in the school. This has created a big gap between the written and oral ability of English among young people. YMCA of Pamunugama has been dreaming of starting a such a class for the students in the area whom do not have an enough economy to pay high to the Spoken English Training institutions in the country.
We specially thank the Com-Share-Foundation for sponsoring this programme. Come-Share foundation has been collaborating with the YMCA to provide number of scholarships to deserving students and to conduct extra educational classes for marginalized communities in various parts of Sri Lanka.
