ආබාධ සහිත යන්න ඉතා සාමාන්‍ය කාරණාවක් බවත් ඔවුන් හට අභිමානවත් පුරවැසියන් ලෙස ජීවත් වීමට අවශ්‍ය වට වටපිටාව සැකසීම ඔවුන්ගේ මානව අයිතිවාසිකම්ක් බවත් සංවාදය තුලදී මතුවිය. මෙම ජනතාවගේ අයිතිවාසිකම් තහවුරු කිරීම සඳහා පමුණු පමුණුගම තරුණ ක්‍රිස්තියානි සංගමය මේවන විට ආරම්භ කර ඇති විශේෂ ව්‍යාපෘතිය පිලිබඳවත් මෙහිදී අදහස් දැක්වීන. ඒ අනුව මේ වන විටත් සිවිල් සංවිධාන තරුණ සංවිධාන සහ ආබාධ සහිත ප්‍රජාව ඇතුළත් සංවිධානය එක් තැනකට ගොනු කිරීමට කටයුතු සිදුකරමින් සිටින බව ප්‍රකාශ කෙරිණ.
දැනට ආබාධ සහිත ප්‍රජාව ලාංකීය සමාජය තුළ ඉතා කටුක අත්දැකීම් ලබන අතර ඉදිරියේදී එම් තත්තවය වෙනස් කිරීමට නම් ආබාධ සහිත ප්‍රජාව මේ වනවිට සිදු කරන්නා වූ අරගලයට සියලු සංවිධාන, සිවිල් ප්‍රජාව දායක වීමේ වැදගත්කම පිළිබඳව ද සංවාදයට ලක්කළ අතර ඒ සඳහා ආරාධනා කරන ලදී.
YMCA delegates joined a radio programme on Seth FM to discuss the need for collective efforts by the Civil Society to safeguard the rights of the people with disabilities in Sri Lanka. Aruna Nonis and Ridma Fonseka from YMCA of Pamunugama joined this radio programme aired on 26 February 2022.
During the interview it was discussed the need to consider disabilities as something natural and could happened anyone at anytime. It was mentioned that creating an environment for people with disabilities to live with dignity is not act of charity but a responsibility of the society.
YMCA delegates explained the new project they have launched to mobilize the Civil Society and Youth Groups to join with the Disabled Peoples Organizations to promote the Human Rights of the people with disabilities in Sri Lanka and urged everyone to join in this important initiative.
