Pamunugama - Munich YMCAs Joint World Week of Prayer

World Week of Prayer is an Annual week declared by the World YMCA and YWCA during the month of November to gather its members in prayers and reflections. This year it was held from 8 - 14 November 2020 under the theme of "Rays of Hope" Due to the Covid 19 the World Week of Prayer programmes were organized with a different outlook worldwide by YMCAs and YWCAs. Most of the events happened online using social media platforms. 

YMCA of Pamunugama together with the YMCA of Munich organized a prayer and reflection session to join its fellow YMCA and YWCA friends all around the world in prayers. Event was held on 14th November vis zoom. Around 40 participants representing YMCA of Munich, YMCA of Pamunugama and YMCA YWCA Scouts from Bronnoysund attended the event held for about an hour.

Event started with an introduction to the World Week of Prayer and follow-up with prayers, singing, reading the bible and message sharing. Joechim Schumutz, one of the General Secretaries from Munich YMCA gave the message based on the days reading which was Psalm 23.
