Ape YMCA Aurudu Uthsawaya : YMCA New Year Festival

If you are not aware, in Sri Lanka people celebrate the New Year in the month of April 13-14 based on the shift of the sun from Mina to Mesha according to the traditional astrology YMCA of Pamunugama each year organizes a Festival to celebrate this event as this is a great opportunity to bring people together with a lot of joy and peace. 

Youth Club if the YMCA of Pamunugama together with the ICY group and the Children's Club organized this years Festival at the YMCA premises today(25 April, 2013). Around 150 villagers joined the event. Number of traditional games were held for all age groups where everyone enjoyed the event irrespective of the age. Kana Mutti Gesima, Catching Eggs, Placing the Eye to the Elephant, Bag Race, Feeding Yogurt and Dragging the Rope etc were among the games.
Special thank goes to the Youth Club Members who has done a wonderful job to make the event a great success!!!
