Visit of Munich YMCA to Makalause Dream School (MDS) - මියුනිච් YMCA හා මාකලෝසා හමුව

The visit of YMCA Munich group to MDS was on the 28th March 2023. It was a very pleasant, enjoyable and  educative event for MDS students. Munich group consisted of 9 members with three from YMCA Pamunugama came to MDS in the morning and were warmly welcomed by the 13 MDS students and the three teachers who were anxiously waiting for them. 

The event was made rich and tasty with the spiritual drama, songs and many other entertaining but educative presentations and also with food, soft drinks and chocolates too. The event was further enriched by a few presentations from MDS too. The group was very keen on getting the participation of MDS children in their activities. The day's program came to an end in the evening with an anticipation of another event at YMCA Pamunugama next day.

මියුනිච් ත. ක්‍රි. ස. කණ්ඩායම 2023 මාර්තු 28 මාකලෝසා සිහිනයට අවතීර්ණ වූයේ උදෑසන ය. 9දෙනෙකුගෙන් සමන්විත වූ එම කණ්ඩායම සමග පමුණුගම YMCA කණ්ඩායමෙන් තෙපළක් ද එකතු වී සිටියහ. දරුවන් 13 දෙනෙකු හා ගුරුවර ගුරුවරියන් තෙපළක් ද ඔවුන්ගේ පැමිණීම අපේක්ෂාවෙන් සිටි අතර ආගන්තුක කණ්ඩායම උණුසුම් ව පිළිගනු ලදහ.

ආධ්‍යාත්මික නාට්‍යය, ගීතිකා, ගීත මෙන් ම තවත් බොහෝ විනෝදාත්මක එහෙත් අධ්‍යාපනික වටිනාකම් ඇති අංගයන්ගෙන් පමණක් නොව  ආහාර පාන හා චොක්ලට්වලින් ද මෙම  අවස්ථාව රසවත් විය. මාකලෝසා දරුවන්ගේ ඉදිරිපත් කිරීම් නිසා ද එම අවස්ථාව තවත් රසවත් විය. තව ද මියුනිච් කණ්ඩායම මාකලෝසා දරුවන් සිය අංගයන් සඳහා සහභාගි කර ගැනීම විශේෂයෙන් අගය කළ යුතු ය. එදින කටයුතු අවසන් වූයේ ඊට පසුදින පමුණුගම YMCA හි පැවැත්වෙන උත්සව අවස්ථාවට සහභාගිවීමේ උද්‍යෝගිමත් අපේක්ෂාවෙන් ය.

Down syndrome day, 2023 - ඩවුන් සින්ඩ්‍රෝම දිනය, 2023

March 21st was a special day for Makalosa Dream School (MDS). We had two visiting teams. A group of Norwegians and a team from Ravi Industries, Ekala.

Norwegian team on their way to Sigiriya never forgot to pay MDS a visit and spend a considerable time in entertaining our students. They were very friendly and made our children happy with their songs and dancing. They made the children active and participate in the various activities they performed . They too enjoyed the items performed by Makalause children.Towards the end of their entertaining activities, they gave presents to the children. Makalause chilren had a nice time with this Norwegian team.

The 2nd group was from the Ravi Industries Ekala. A few from Ravi industries had some preparatory visits to MDS and were very well prepared for the day. And on the day of down syndrome they presented a very well prepared function. A famous actor cum singer Richard Manamudali was with them along with a musical group who entertained Makalause students. Makalause students too presented their items and made the occasion delightful. 

It was really a delightful day for MDS with not only food, drinks and personal gifts but also very useful items from both the visiting teams to MDS.

2023 මාර්තු 21 මාකලෝසා සිහින පාසලට සුවිශේෂී දිනයක් විය. එදින අමුත්තන් කණ්ඩායම් දෙකක් අප පාසල බැහැදුටූහ. එක් කණ්ඩායමක් නෝවීජියානු කණ්ඩායමක් වූ අතර අනෙක් කණ්ඩායම හේලීස් සමාගමට අයත් ඒකල රවි ඉන්ඩස්ට්‍රීස් වෙතින් විය.

සීගිරි පව්ව හා ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ වෙනත් සුන්දර ස්ථාන දැක ගැනීමට යන අතරතුර මාකලෝසා දරුවන් සමග සැලකිය යුතු කාලයක් ගත කරනු පිණිස නෝවීජියානු තරුණ කණ්ඩායම මාකලෝසා සිහිනයට උදෑසනින් ම පැමිණියහ. ඉතාමත් ම මිත්‍රශීලී පිරිසක් වූ ඔවුහූ ඔවුන්ගේ ගීත හා නැටුම්වලින් දරුවන් ප්‍රමුදිත කළහ. ඔවුහූ මාකලෝසා දරුවන් සිය විනෝදාත්මක ක්‍රියාකාරකම් සමග සම්බන්ධ කර ගන්නට ද අමතක නොකළහ. මාකලෝසා දරුවෝද විවිධ විචිත්‍රාංග ඉදිරිපත් කරමින් අවස්ථාව සුන්දර කළහ. මෙම නෝවීජියානු කණ්ඩායම සමග ගතකළ එම කාලය සැබවින් ම මාකලෝසා දරුවන්ට අසිරිමත් මොහොතක් විය.

එදින මාකලෝසාවට පැමිණි අනෙක් කණ්ඩායම වූයේ ඒකල රවි ඉන්ඩ්‍රස්ටීස් සමාගමයි. මෙදින සඳහා පූර්ව සූදානම් කටයුතු වෙනුවෙන් සංවිධායකයන් කීප දෙනෙක් මෙම ස්ථානය බැහැදුටූහ. අන්තුරුව අදාළ දිනයේදී හොඳින් සැලසුම් කළ වැඩසටහනක් ඉදිරිපත් කළහ. ප්‍රසිද්ධ නළුවකු හා ගායකයකු වන රිචඩ් මානමුදලි මහත්මා සමග ගායක වාදක කණ්ඩායමක් ද මේ අවස්ථාවට රවි ඉන්ඩස්ට්‍රීස් කණ්ඩායම සමග පැමිණියහ. ඔවුන්ගේ ගායන හා වාදනවලින් මාකලෝසා දරුවන්ගේ දවස ප්‍රීතිමත් එකක් විය. මාකලෝසා දරුවන්ගේ විවිධාංග ද මේ වැඩසටහනට ඇතුළත් විය. 

මෙම කණ්ඩායම් දෙක ම කෑමෙන් බීමෙන් හා පුද්ගල ත්‍යාගයන් ලබා දීමෙන් මාකලෝසා දරුවන් සතුටු කළා පමණක් නොව මාකලෝසාවට ප්‍රයෝජනවත් උපාංග ගණනාවක් ද පරිත්‍යාග කළහ.

Excursions for Makalause Dream Students - දෛනික ජීවිතයේ අත්දැකීම් සඳහා හුරු කිරීම

Makalause Dream School organized and participated in three excursions during the month of March. The purpose of these excursions was to expose the children of Makalause to real life situations and train them to decision making and taking turns. 

On the10th of March the children with their teachers went to visit Delatura church. They were given an explanation as to what a church is, its purpose, its architecture and its activities. During this visit they actively participated in a Christian rite called " Way of the Cross " with the guidance of their teachers. 6 children and three teachers participated in the event.

And on the 16th the school visited Ja-ela Buddhist temple. Nine children and all  the teachers participated in the event. The children were given an introduction on a Buddhist temple: its structure, its different parts,  their purpose and the meaning and the activities of a temple. A Buddhist monk residing in the temple helped in these explanations. 

On the 31stof March, students with their teachers experienced a train tour. 7 children and the three teachers participated in the event. A few parents came to help in this train tour. In this tour each student was given a personal training on going to the counter, pay the fee and get a ticket for the train. During this tour they could visit Katunayake international airport and the Buddhist temple on the way to the Investments Promotional Zone ( IPZ ). They had their lunch at at the temple and came back to Jaela by train in the evening.

මාකලෝසා සිහින පාසල මාර්තු මාසය තුළ චාරිකා 3ක් සංවිධානය කර සහභාගි විය. මෙම චාරිකාවන්හි අරමුණ වූයේ සැබෑ ජීවිතයේ අවස්ථාවනට මුහුණ දී ක්‍රියා කිරීමත්, අවස්ථානුකූල තීරණ ගැනීමේ හැකියාව වර්ධනය කර ගැනීමත්, තමන්ගේ වාරයේදී ක්‍රියාත්මක වීමට පුහුණු වීමත් ය. 

මාර්තු 10 ව්න සිකුරාදා දරුවෝ සිය ගුරුවරුන් සමග දෑලතුර දේවස්ථානය බැහැදුටූහ. දේවස්ථානයක් යනු කුමක්ද, එහි අරමුණ, එහි හැඩය හා අනුබද්ධ ක්‍රියාකාරකම් ගැන පැහැදිළි කිරිමක් මෙහිදී සිදු විය. මෙම ගමනේදී දරුවෝ සිය ගුරුවරුන් ද සමග පාද නමස්කාරය නම් වත්පිළිවෙතට ද සහභාගි වූහ. ගුරුවර ගුරුවරියන් තිදෙනා සමග දරුවන් සය දෙනෙක් මේ සඳහා සහභාගි වූහ. 

සැලසුම් කර තිබූ පරිදි මාර්තු 16 දා මාකලෝසා දරුවෝ හා ගුරුවර ගුරුවරියෝ ජාඇල බෞද්ධ විහාරය බැහැ දකින්නට ගියහ. දරුවෝ 9දෙනෙක් ගුරුවර ගුරුවරියන් තිදෙනාද සමග මෙයට සහභාගි වූහ. මෙහිදීද ඔවුනට පන්සලක් යනු කුමක්ද, එහි කොටස් මොනවාද, එහි ආකෘතිය කෙබඳුද, එහි කෙරෙන ක්‍රියාකාරකම් මොනවාද, එවායේ අර්ථයන් හා අරමුණු මොනවාද යන්න ගැන පැහැදිළි කිරීමක් කරන ලදී. බෞද්ධ ස්වාමින්වහන්සේ කෙනෙකුගේ උදව්ව මේ සඳහා ලැබිණි. 

මාර්තු 31 දින මාකලෝසා සිසු සිසුවියෝ දුම්රිය චාරිකාවක් අත්දුටූහ. සිසු සිසුවියන් හත් දෙනෙක් ගුරුවරුන් තිදෙනා ද සමග මීට සහභාගි වූහ. මාපියන් කීප දෙනෙකුගේ ආධාරය ද මෙම ගමන සඳහා ලැබී තිබිණි. 

මෙම චාරිකාවේදී එක් එක් සිසුවාට/ සිසුවියට කවුන්ටරයට ගොස් මුදල් ගෙවා ටිකට්පතක් ගැනීමට පුහුණුවක් ලබාදිය හැකිවිය. තවද මෙම චාරිකාවේදී කටුනායක ගුවන් තොටුපළ හා ගුවන්‍ යානා නැග්ගීම, බැස්සීම වැනි ක්‍රියාකාරකම් සමීපව දැක ගැනීමට හැකිවිය. තවද ආයෝජන ප්‍රවර්ධන කලාපය සමීපයේ ඇති විහාර භූමිය බැහැදුටු මාකලෝසා දරුවෝ එහිදී සිය දිවා ආහාරය ලබාගත්හ. අනතුරුව එදින සවස දුම්රියෙන් යළි ජා ඇළට පැමිණි ඔවුහූ එතැනට පැමිණ සිටි මාපියන් හා ගුරුවරුන් සමග යළි සිය ගම්බිම් බළා ගියහ.

මාකලෝසා සිහින උපදේශන වැඩ සටහන - Councelling Program at Makalause Dream

මාකලෝසා සිහින පාසල එහි දරුවන්, මාපියන් හා ගුරුවර ගුරුවරිය්න් සඳහා විශේෂ මනෝ උපදේශන වැඩ සටහනක් සැලසුම් කර ක්‍රියාත්මක කරයි. 

මෙහි මුඛ්‍ය පරමාර්ථය දෙමාපියන්ට සහයක් වීම මෙන් ම මාකලෝසා පාසලේ ගුරුවර ගුරුවරියන්ට එක් එක් දරුවා හඳුනා ගැනීම හා සෑම දරුවකුට ම ගැලපෙන අයුරින් ප්‍රතිකාරක ඉගෙනුම්   ඉගැන්වීම් වැඩ සටහනක් සැලසුම් කිරීමය. මේ පිළිබඳව මාපියන් සමග කළ විශේෂ රැස්වීමකින් පසු කටයුතු සැලසුම් කරනු ලැබිණ.

මේ වනවිට මනෝ උපදේශක G.D. අසේල පෙරේරා මහත්මා මේ සඳහා ඉතා වුවමනාවෙන්, කැපවීමෙන් හා දරුවන් කෙරෙහි විශාල ආදරයකින්  කටයුතු කරමින් සිටී. පියවර ගණනාවකින් මේ වැඩ සටහන ක්‍රියාත්මක වෙමින් තිබේ. ඉන් කීපයක් මේ වන විටත් ක්‍රියාත්මක කර අවසන් ය පාසල බැහැදැක දරුවන් හඳුනාගැනීම මුල් පියවර වූ  අතර එහිදී ඔවුන් සමග විවිධ ක්‍රීඩා හා ක්‍රියාකාරකම්වලට සහභාගිවෙමින් ඔවුනට සමීපව කටයුතු කරනු දැකිය හැකි විය. දෙවන පියවර ලෙස ස්වකීය මධ්‍යස්ථානයේ එක් එක් දරුවා හා ඔවුන්ගේ මාපියන් සමග පුද්ගල උපදේශන කටයුත්තක නිරත විය. එය ද මේ වන විට අවසන් වී ඇත. තෙවන පියවර ලෙස එක් එක් දරුවා පිළිබඳ ලිඛිත වාර්තාවක් සැකසීම හා නිර්දේශ ඉදිරිපත් කිරීම සිදු කෙරේ. සිව්වන පියවර ප්‍රතිකාරක වැඩසටහන් පසු විපරමකට  ලක් කිරීමය. මේ වන විටත් මේ කටයුතු සඳහා  අදාළ සියලු පාර්ශ්වයන්  උනන්දුවෙන් කටයුතු කරමින් සිටිති.

Makalause Dream school is conducting a special counselling program for its children and parents. The aim of this program is to know the child closely by both parents and teachers. With this program it is expected to help parents in their dealings with them. The main objective of this program is to prepare  a customized plan with the help of the counsellor that would give maximum benefit to the children of Makalause Dream . This program was initiated with a special meeting with parents. 

Psycho counsellor and therapist Mr. Asela Perera is very enthusiastic in the mission and render a committed service in the task entrusted to him. This process includes several steps in which the first is a visit to the school and establish a close acquaintance with children. This initial step was successful and enabled the 2nd step which was a personal encounter with the counsellor by both children and parents. Third is a written record of each child and recommendations of the counsellor for both parents and teachers. Yhe last is some follow up sessions for both parents and teachers. At the moment all the parties related to the program are actively and enthusiastically involved in it.

පමුණුගම / මියුනිච් ඒකාබද්ධ මෙහෙවර වැඩසටහන 2023

පමුණුගම සහ මියුනිච් තරුණ ක්‍රිස්තියානි සංගම් අතර වසර කීපයක සිට පවතින මිත්‍රත්වය අලුත් කරමින් මියුනිච් තරුණ ක්‍රිස්තියානි සංගමයේ නියෝජිතයින් පිරිසක් 2023 මාර්තු 16 සිට 31 දක්වා ශ්‍රී ලංකාවට පැමිණියහ. අමුත්තන් ගුවන් තොටුපළේදී පමුණුගම YMCA තරුණ තරුණියන් විසින් පිළිගත් අතර පිළිගැනීමේ රාත්‍රී භෝජන සංග්‍රහය එදිනම සවස YMCA පරිශ්‍රයේ දී තරුණ තරුණියන් සහ පමුණුගම YMCA හි අධ්‍යක්ෂ මණ්ඩල සාමාජිකයින්ගේ සහභාගීත්වයෙන් පැවැත්විණි. ඔවුන් ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ රැඳී සිටින කාලය තුළ පමුණුගම YMCA හි සාමාජිකයින්, ප්‍රතිලාභීන්ගේ සහ තවත් අසල්වැසි YMCA කිහිපයක සහභාගීත්වයෙන් වැඩසටහන් දාමයක් ඒකාබද්ධව සංවිධානය කරන ලදී.

මෙහෙවර කඳවුර - මාර්තු 17 සිට 19 දක්වා පමුණුගම YMCA හිදී

මෙම කඳවුරට තරුණ තරුණියන් 30 දෙනෙක් සහභාගී වූහ. YMCA හි තරුණ තරුණියන් අතර කිතුනු දූත මෙහෙවර තවදුරටත් ශක්තිමත් කිරීම මෙම කඳවුරේ අරමුණ විය. මෙම වැඩසටහන අතරතුරදී බයිබල් අධ්‍යයන, නමස්කාර සැසි, ක්‍රීඩා, ක්‍රියාකාරකම්, සහ සංවාද මගින් ආමන්ත්‍රණය කරන ලද උප මාතෘකා අතර ඇදහිල්ල, ගෝලත්වය සහ දිවැසි මෙහෙවර ඇතුළු ක්‍රිස්තියානි ජීවිතයේ විවිධ පැතිකඩයන් විය. කඳවුරේ අවසාන දිනයේ සහභාගිත්ව දිව්‍ය යාගයක් පවත්වන ලදී. සරත් හෙට්ටිආරච්චි පියතුමා ගේ ප්‍රධානත්වයෙන් පැවැති මෙම දිව්‍ය යාගය දෙවිඳුන් තුළ ඉතා සමීප අත්දැකීමක් විය. වැඩසටහන අවසානයේ දී ඉදිරි ක්‍රියාකාරකම් සහ සැලසුම් පිළිබඳව කණ්ඩායම් සංවාදයක් පැවති අතර එහි දී ගත් තීරණ ඉදිරියේදී ක්‍රියාත්මක කිරීමටට එකඟ විය.

පමුණුගම YMCA බාලදක්ෂයින් සඳහා වූ මෙහෙවර කඳවුරක් මාර්තු 25 වන දින YMCA පරිශ්‍රයේදී පැවැත්විණි.  කණ්ඩායම් ක්‍රියාකාරකම්, ක්‍රීඩා සහ ගායනය වලින් මෙම වැඩසටහන් සමන්විත විය. ඒ ඔස්සේ ක්‍රිස්තුස් වහන්සේ සමීපව අත්දැකීමට දරුවන්ට අවස්ථාවව උදාවිය. එදින දරුවන් හට දිවා ආහාරය සපයනු ලැබුවේ සංගමයේ පොදු මුළුතැන්ගේ වැඩසටහන හරහාය. මාස හයක පමණ සිට පවත්වාගෙන යනු ලබන මෙම වැඩ වැඩසටහන සඳහා දායකත්වය ලබා දෙන්නේද මියුනිච් තරුණ ක්‍රිස්තියානි සංගමය සමග එක්ව ඇස්කර් තරුණ ක්‍රිස්තියානි සංගම් බාලදක්ෂ කණ්ඩායමයි. එම වැඩසටහන ක්‍රියාත්මක වන ආකාරය දැකබලා ගැනීමටද මෙය අවස්ථාවක් විය.

පමුණුගම තරුණ ක්‍රිස්තියානි සංගමය විශේෂයෙන් YMCA ජාලය හරහා ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ Kubb ප්‍රවර්ධනය කිරීමේ පුරෝගාමියා වී ඇත. පමුණුගම, මීගමුව, මොරටුව සහ මියුනිච් තරුණ ක්‍රිස්තියානි සංගම් නියෝජනය කරමින් කණ්ඩායම් 26 ක සහභාගිත්වයෙන් කුබ් තරගාවලියක් සංවිධානය කර තිබුණි. විවෘත ඉසව්වට කණ්ඩායම් 15ක් තරගවැදි අතර වයස අවුරුදු 16 ට අඩු ළමුන් සඳහා පැවති කනිෂ්ඨ ඉසව්වට කණ්ඩායම් 11 ක් තරඟ වැදිණ. කණ්ඩායමක් ක්‍රීඩකයින් 3 දෙනෙකුගෙන් සමන්විත වූ අතර ක්‍රීඩකයින් 78 කට වැඩි පිරිසක් සහභාගී වූහ. YMCA මිතුරන් සහ සාමාජිකයින් ද ක්‍රීඩකයින්ට සහයෝගය දැක්වීමට එක් විය. තරගාවලිය ඉතා ඉහළ ක්‍රීඩාශීලිත්වයකින් මෙන්ම සුහදශීලී වූ ආකාරයෙන් පැවතිණ. මීගමුව තරුණ ක්‍රිස්තියානි සංගමය කණ්ඩ දෙකෙහිම ශූරතාව දිනාගත් අතර විවෘත අංශයේ අනුශූරතාව පමුණුගම සහ මියුනිච් ඒකාබද්ධ කණ්ඩායමට හිමිවිය. කනිෂ්ඨ අංශයේ අනුශූරතා කුසලානය ද මීගමුව තරුණ ක්‍රිස්තියානි සංගමයට හිමි විය. ජයග්‍රාහකයන්ට ත්‍යාග සහ විශේෂ කුසලාන පිරිනැමිණ.

කොළඹ සංචාරය - මාර්තු 27

මියුනිච් කණ්ඩායම පමුණුගම YMCA හි මිතුරන් සමඟ කොළඹ සංචාරයක නිරත විය.. ඔවුන් කොළඹ ගාලු මුවදොර සහ ඒ ආසන්න ප්‍රදේශයේ සැරිසරමින් කාලය ගත කරන ලදී.  සවස් වරුවේ කොළඹ තරුණ ක්‍රිස්තියානි සංගමය වෙත පැමිණි පිරිස සඳහා තේ පැන් සංග්‍රහයක් සහ කෙටි වැඩ වැඩසටහනක් කොළඹ තරුණ ක්‍රිස්තියානි සංගමය විසින් සංවිධානය කර තිබිණ.

Makalause Dream School වෙත පැමිණීම - මාර්තු 28

මියුනිච් මිතුරන්, ආබාධ සහිත ළමුන් සඳහා වන "Makalause Dream" YMCA පාසල නැරඹීම් සඳහා එක්විය.  එදින ඔවුන් දරුවන් සමග විනෝද වෙමින් ක්‍රීඩා කරමින් සතුටු විය. එදින දිවා ආහාරය ද මියුනිච් නියෝජිතයන් දරුවන් හා සමඟ එක්ව ලබා ගන්නා ලදී. මෙවැනි වැඩසටහනක් පැවැත්වීමේ YMCA හි අරමුණ සහ ශ්‍රී ලංකාව තුළ පොදුවේ ආබාධ සහිත පුද්ගලයින්ට ඇති දුෂ්කරතා සහ අභියෝග පිළිබඳව පාසල් කළමනාකාරීත්වය විසින් අමුත්තන්ට පැහැදිලි කරන ලදී. මෙදින එක්ව ගත්කළ කාලය මියුනිච් මිතුරු මිතුරියන්ට මෙන්ම පාසලේ දරු දැරියන්ට ද ඉතා සොඳුරු අත්දැකීමක් විය.

ශ්‍රී ලංකාව / ජර්මානු සංස්කෘතික ප්‍රසංගය - 29 මාර්තු 2023

ඒකාබද්ධ සංස්කෘතික ප්‍රසංගය පැවැති වැති වැඩසටහන් දාමය අතුරෙන් විශේෂ තැනක් ගන්නා ලදී. . YMCA ප්‍රධාන ශාලාවට රැස්ව සිටි විශාල ජනකායක් ඉදිරියේ පමුණුගම YMCA තරුණ තරුණියන් සහ ළමුන් විවිධ අංග 18කට අධික ප්‍රමාණයක් ඉදිරිපත් කළහ.  Makalause Dream පාසල, නැටුම් කණ්ඩායම් සහ බාලදක්ෂ ළමුන් ද ප්‍රසංග ඉදිරිපත් කළ අය අතර වූහ. පමුණුගම සහ මියුනිච් YMCA හි තරුණ තරුණියන් ඒකාබද්ධ නැටුම්, ක්‍රීඩා සහ විනෝදාත්මක ක්‍රියාකාරකම් සඳහා ද දායක වූහ. ජර්මානු මිතුරන් විසින් සාදන ලද ජර්මානු බනිස් වර්ගයක් ද ප්‍රසංගය අතරතුර ප්‍රේක්ෂකයන්ට පිරිනැමීය. ප්‍රසංගය ඉදිරිපත් කළ සියලුම දරුවන්ට සහ තරුණ තරුණියන්ට, දරුවන් පුහුණු කළ ගුරුවරුන්ට සහ උත්සවයට සූදානම් වීමට සහය වූ තරුණ තරුණියන්ට සංගමයේ විශේෂ ස්තුතිය පුදකර සිටී.

සමුගැනීම - මාර්තු 30

සමුගැනීමේ රාත්‍රී භෝජන සංග්‍රහයක් Nayomi's Water Front Indian Restaurant හි සංවිධානය කර තිබුණි. මියුනිච් හි මිතුරන්, පමුණුගම YMCA හි තරුණ තරුණියන් සහ අධ්‍යක්ෂ මණ්ඩල සාමාජිකයින් සමුගැනීමේ රාත්‍රී භෝජන සංග්‍රහයට එක් විය. අවසාන සාකච්ඡාවලදී සියලු දෙනාටම තම හැඟීම් එකිනෙකා සමඟ බෙදා ගැනීමට අවස්ථාව ලැබුණු අතර සෑම කෙනෙකුටම සොඳුරු මතකයන් රාශියක් සහ ඉගෙන ගත් බොහෝ දේ තිබුණි. අනාගත වැඩසටහන් වඩාත් යහපත් කිරීමට උපකාරී වන කෙටි ඇගයීමක් ද සිදු කරන ලදී. ඉන් අනතුරුව තිළිණ හුවමාරු කරගැනීම සිදුවිය. රාත්‍රී ආහාරය ලබා ගැනීමට අමතරව මෙම සංචාරය අතරතුර අවසන් වරට එක්ව ක්‍රීඩා කිරීමටත් සතුටින් එකිනෙකා සමඟ සංවාදයේ යෙදෙමින් දහස් හුවමාරු කර ගැනීමටත් මෙය අවස්ථාවක් විය.

මියුනිච් හි මිතුරන් ඔවුන්ගේ ආපසු ගුවන් ගමන සඳහා නොවැම්බර් 31 වන උදෑසනින්ම පිටත් විය. මෙම සංචාරය අතරතුරතුර පැවති සියලු වැඩසටහන හොඳින් සංවිධානය කරගැනීමට සහාය දැක්වූ සංගමයේ සියලුම සාමාජික සාමාජිකාවන් හට සංගමයේ ප්‍රණාමය පුද කෙරේ.  එමෙන්ම සංචාරයට එක්වූ මියුනිච් තරුණ ක්‍රිස්තියානි සංගමයේ ප්‍රධාන ලේකම් නික්ලස් ස්ටෙෆාන් මහතා හට ද කණ්ඩායමට නායකත්වය ලබාදුන් මාර්ටින් කැනොරිච් මහතා හට සහ පැමිණි  සියලුම තරුණ තරුණියන්ට සංගමයේ ස්තුතිය.  

Christian Mission Programme 2023

Refreshing the long standing friendship between Pamunugama and Munich YMCAs a group delegates from the YMCA of Munich visited Sri Lanka from 16 - 31 March 2023. 9 young people led by Martin Knorich and Mr. Niklas Stefan the General Secretary of the YMCA of Munich were among the visitors. Group was welcomed by the Pamunugama YMCA youth at the Airport and the welcome dinner was held at the YMCA premises on the first evening with the participation of youth and Board Members of the YMCA of Pamunugama. During their stay in Sri Lanka, a chain of events were organized jointly with a participation of members and beneficiaries of the YMCA of Pamunugama and several other neighbouring YMCAs.

Mission Camp - 17 to 19 March at YMCA of Pamunugama

30 young people attended the camp. Further strengthening of the Christian Mission among young people in the YMCA was the objective of the event. Different aspects of Christian living including faith, discipleship and prophetic mission were among the sub-topics addressed through bible studies, worship sessions, games, activities, acts and dialogues during the programme. On the last day of the mission camp, a participatory holly mass was held. It was new experience to many at the YMCA to be in Christ sharing communion together. Before finishing the camp, participants had group discussions on way forward in the Christian Mission activities of the YMCA both locally and jointly in the future. It was agreed to carry on several new activities as well as to continue with the ongoing programmes.

Work in the Model Farm

Young people from the Munich YMCA assisted the YMCA model farm located at the YMCA backyard on 20 March. They provided labour to plant new plants in the mini garden located inside the model farm as well as to add organic fertilizers to over 300 plants growing in the model farm.

Sightseeing - 21 to 24 March

10 young people from Pamunugama also joined the visitors in the sightseeing. First destination of the sightseeing was Sigiriya. After climbing Sigiriya on the first day, group spend the night at Lion's Lodge Sigiriya. Despite the tiredness, group had a great time of fellowship together in the evening praying, reading bible and playing cards and spike ball. On the following day a majority of the group climbed Pidurangala a neighbouring rock to Sigiriya to see the sunrise which was spectacular. Then the group proceeded to Atanwala a village bordering to Nuckles Mountain Range and world heritage rainforest. During the stay for two days group hiked to 2 different destinations. 1. Walpolamulla which is an isolated village 7 kms deep inside the forest where people are still farming during paddy seasons. 2. Manigala a rock which is a famous tourist destination for sunrise withing 45 mins of climbing distance. Group also had a lot of time playing spike ball and Kubb at the garden of premisses used for accommodation. Experiencing the village life eating local food, bathing in the beautiful stream experiencing the creation of God was a joy to all who joined the trip. Leaches were the only challenge during the stay in a mountain village of Atanwala.

Mission Camp with Scouts - 25 March

A mission camp for the scouts of the YMCA of Pamunugama was held on 25 March at the YMCA premises. 40 kids joined the programme learning about God through acts, group activities, games, singing and playing together. During the day, Munich YMCA experienced the Community Kitchen Programme (Supported by YMCA YWCA Scouts of Asker jointly with Munich YMCA) which has been providing lunch for Scouts and Guides for last 6 months on Saturdays.

Kubb Tournament - 26 March

YMCA of Pamunugama has been pioneering in promoting Kubb in Sri Lanka specially through the YMCA network. A tournament was organized with the participation of 26 teams from Pamunugama YMCA, Munich YMCA, Moratuwa YMCA and Negombo YMCA. 15 teams compete in the open event while 11 teams compete in the junior event held for children below 16 years of age. Over 78 players attended as players where 3 players consisted a team. YMCA friends and members also joined to support the players. It was held in good spirit and Negombo YMCA won championship in both categories while Pamunugama and Munich joint team clinched on to the runners up trophy in the open category. Runners up trophy in the Junior category also was won by Negombo YMCA. Winners also were awarded with gifts and chocolates.

Visit to Colombo YMCA - 27 March

Munich group visited Colombo with friends from Pamunugama YMCA. They walked through Colombo Galle face, and surroundings. During the visit the group were hoisted by Colombo YMCA for an evening programme where they had tea and an opening of a carrom playing area.

Visit to Makalause Dream School - 28 March

Munich friends visited the "Makalause Dream" YMCA School for Children with Disabilities. Day was spend playing, dancing and enjoying with students. Group also had lunch together with the students in the school. School management has explained the visitors on the objective of YMCA in conducting a such programme and the hardships and challenges for the people with disabilities in Sri Lanka in general. Children of the school were very happy to have visited as they always enjoy the company of visitors.

Sri Lanka / German Cultural Show - 29 March 2023

The joint cultural show was one of the highlights of the visit. Young people and children of Pamunugama YMCA performed over 18 different acts in front of a large crowd gathered in the YMCA Main Hall. Children from Makalause Dream School, Dancing Group and Scouts were among those who performed. Young people from Pamunugama and Munich YMCAs also contributed with joint dances, games and fun activities. A typical German bun made by German friends also offered to the audience during the show. YMCA extend a special thank to all the children and youth who performed, teachers who trained the children and young people who assisted with preparations of the event.

Farewell - 30 March

A farewell dinner was organized at the Nayomi's Water Front Indian Restaurant. Friends from Munich and youth and board members of the YMCA of Pamunugama joined the farewell dinner. All had the opportunity of sharing their feelings with one and other during final discussions and everyone had a lot of fond memories and many things learnt. Also made a short evaluation which will be helpful in making the future programmes even better. It was also the occasion to share gifts with each other and make final speeches. While enjoying dinner young people also spend the whole evening playing Kubb and Spike ball for one last time during this exchange visit. It was an emotional moment for many as the human relationships and friendships built during the stay was special and strong.

Friends from Munich left early on 31 November for their return flight. YMCA of Pamunugama thank YMCA Munich, and all who visited Pamunugama including Mr. Nilklas Stefan, the General Secretary and Martin Knorich the team leader for making it a special and memorable two weeks in Christ together in Sri Lanka.
