පාස්කූ මෙහෙය - 2019
පමුණුගම තරුණ ක්රිස්තියානි සංගමයේ අධ්යාත්මික හා සුබසාධන කමිටුව පාස්කූ සමය නිමිතිකොටගෙන පවත්වනු ලැබු පාස්කූ වැඩසටහන 2019 අප්රියල් මස 11 වන දින රාතී්ර 7.00 සිට 09.00 වන තෙක් පමුණුගම තරුණ ක්රිස්තියානි සංගම් ප්රධාන ශාලාවෙිිදි පවත්වනු ලැබීය. පාස්කූ සමයේ ඇති වැදගත්කම අවබෝධ කරගැනීම, සමාජ අභියෝග හා පරික්ෂාවන්ට සාර්ථකව මුහුණ දෙන ආකාරය, පාස්කූ සමය තූළ යැදීම හා මර්ධන ක්රියාවන් හි යෙදීමෙි ඇති වැදගත්කම අවබෝධ කරගැනීම වැනි කරුණු කෙරෙහි අවධානය යොමු කරමින් පැවති මෙම වැඩසටහන මෙහයවනු ලද්දේ අප ප්රදේශයෙන්ම බිහිවු පුජක පුතෙකූ වන ගරු නිලන්ත රන්ජුල පියතූමන් විසිනි. මෙම වැඩසටහන සඳහා අප සංගමයේ සාමාජික සාමාජිකාවන් ඇතූඵ 80 දෙනෙකූගේ පමණ සහභාගීත්වය දක්නට ලැබිණි.
වැඩසටහන සදහා ප්රවෙිශය ලබා ගනු ලැබුවෙි පාපය හදුනාගනිමු යන තේමාව ඔස්සෙ අප සංගමයේ ළමා හවුල විසින් ඉදිරිපත් කරන ලද අභිරූපණ රංගනයකිනි. අනතූරුව පැමිණ සිටි පිරිස කණ්ඩායම් කොට ඔහුන් වෙත තෝරා ගත් බයිබල් පාඨයන් කිහිපයක් සාකච්චා කිරිමට අවස්ථාව ලබා දෙන ලදී. ප්රථමයෙන්ම පිරිස තෝරා ගත් බයිබල් පාඨයන් තම කණ්ඩායම තූළ සාකච්චා කරමින්ද අනතූරුව එම අදහස් පැමිණ සිටි සියඵ දෙනා අතරේද බෙදාගන්නා ලදී. අවසාන වශයෙන් ගරු පියතූමන් මෙකී සියඵම බයිබල් පාඨයන් පැමිණ සිටි පිරිසට අවබෝධ කරදෙන ලද්දේ කාගෙත් අවධානය ලබා ගනිමිනි.
බයිබල් සාකච්චාව අවසානයේදි වන්දනා වැඩසටහනක්ද පැවති අතර පැමිණ සිටි පිරිස ඉටි පහන් දල්වමින් මෙි සදහා බැතිමත් ලෙස සහභාගී විය.රාත්රි 09 පමණ වන විට වැඩසටහන නිමාවට පත්කෙරුණු අතර මෙම පාස්කූ සමය තූළ ක්රිස්තූස් වහන්සේව හදුනාගනිමු යන අධිෂ්ඨානය පෙරදැරිව පැමිණ සිටි පිරිස විසර ගියේ සංගමයටද සිය ස්තූතිය පුදකරමින්ය.

Easter Programme 2019
Lent (Latin: Quadragesima, 'Fortieth') is a solemn religious observance in the Christian liturgical calendar that begins on Ash Wednesday and ends approximately six weeks later, before Easter Sunday. The purpose of Lent is the preparation of the believer for Easter through prayer, doing penance, mortifying the flesh, repentance of sins, alms-giving, and denial of ego. (Wikipedia).
Every year the YMCA of Pamunugama organizes an event to help its members for such preparation. This year's Easter Meditation Programme was held at the YMCA of Pamunugama from 7.00 - 9.00 pm on 11 April, 2019.
Rev Fr. Nilantha Ranjula who is a young priest from the vicinity of YMCA of Pamunugama led the evening with prayer and sharing of the good news. Programme was consisted of opening prayer, sketch by youth, bible study in smaller groups, reflection by the priest and closing prayer with blessings. Around 80 YMCA members and neighbors attended the programme.

Guides Camp in the YMCA Premises
42 Girl Guides attached 4 schools (St. Sebastian College Kandana, Pope Paul 6 school Halpe, Wegowwa Kanishta Vidyalaya, St. Mary's Pitipana,) in the Gampaha District and YMCA of Pamunugama Open Girl Guides Troop had a 3 day Camp in the YMCA of Pamunugama premises from 6 - 9 April, 2019.
Camp was held with the supervision of Ms Chandani De Silva who is a certified Camp Leader of the Sri Lanka Girl Guides Association and Former Southern Province Guides Commissioner with the support of 7 leaders from the schools and YMCA. Camp was coordinated by Rev Sister Mary Patricia who is the Deputy Provincial Commissioner of Gampaha District. Camp was hosted by the YMCA of Pamunugama with the support of parents.
During the Camp guides did number of camping activities such as backwoods cooking, pioneering, hike and etc. During these 4 days guides lived in tents and had the opportunity of mingling with guides from the Gampaha District. Campfire was one of the highlights of the programme which held on 8th March evening where guides performed number of campfire activities including dramas, singing and yells.
ENVEST - Wushu Club
YMCA of Pamunugama had the opportunity of taking part in the ENVEST (Empowering Young Voices Through Sports Training) programme initiated by the Northern Illinois University During the year 2018. Main objective of the project is to empower young people for a social change by getting them involved in sports training.
As a follow-up of the training received, YMCA of Pamunugama has decided to start a Wushu Club and a Table Tennis Club. First meeting of the Wushu club was held on 06 March, 2019 at the YMCA of Pamunugama with the participation of 13 teenagers. Shenal Ruvinda a young Wushu player who has won National Level competitions is helping the club voluntarily.

Investiture of 3 new guides
3 new Pamunugama YMCA guides entered into the fellowship of World Guides Movement at the investiture ceremony held on 05.03.2019 at the YMCA of Pamunugama Main Hall. Investiture ceremony was led by the Deputy Distric Commissioner of Negombo Guides Association.

Annual General Meeting 2019
Annual General Meeting of the YMCA of Pamunugama for the year 2019 was held today at the YMCA of Pamunugama with the participation of 35 members.
During the meeting, the financial and programme reports for year 2018 was discussed and aproved, fulfilling the constitutional requirements of the YMCA of Pamunugama.
A new set of Board Members also were elected. YMCA of Pamunugama thank the outgoing Board Members while congratulate the new members.

New Year Traditions with Pre-School kids
According to the traditional Sri Lankan calendar the new is celebrated in the month of April. Transition of the sun from mina to mesha is considered as the new year and this incident is celebrated auspiciously by both Sinhala and Tamil communities.
New year is full of traditions and colorful events which brings friends, families, villages and the whole country together. Today the preschool kids of Pamunugaama YMCA had an event to celebrate new year with boiling milk and enjoying new year sweets. They also played with the sing while singing traditional songs called onchili waram
