On April 11th, the group spent a meaningful day at Makalause Dream School, where they learned about the school’s programs, played with the children, and enjoyed their performances and songs. The following day was dedicated to connecting with the scouts of the YMCA of Pamunugama. The day was filled with games, songs, and performances, strengthening bonds between the local and visiting scouts. In the evening, the group took a short sightseeing tour of Negombo.
April 13th, their final day in Pamunugama, was a more relaxed one. The visitors enjoyed watching the traditional Way of Cross Easter parade as it made its way through the village. That evening, a farewell party was held, attended by around 18 members of the YMCA’s board and youth members. Four representatives from the Moratuwa Island Rovers team also joined in, making it a joyful and memorable gathering filled with fellowship and celebration.
