හපුගොඩ ශාන්ත මරියා ආදර්ශ විද්‍යාලයේ පැවැති ශිෂ්‍ය නායක වැඩමුළුව - Prefects Training at Hapugoda St. Mary's Model School

පාසලේ ශිෂ්‍ය නායකයා නායිකාවන් පුහුණු කිරීම් සඳහා නායකත්වය කඳවුරක් පැවැත්වීමට හපුගොඩ ශාන්ත මරියා ආදර්ශ විද්‍යාලය විසින් කටයුතු යොදා තිබිණ. මෙම වැඩ වැඩසටහන් සඳහා ශිෂ්‍ය නායක නායිකාවන් 35 දෙනෙකු සහභාගි වූ අතර  ඔක්තෝම්බර් මස 22 සහ 23 යන දිනයන්හි දී පාසැල් භූමිය තුළ වැඩසටහන ක්‍රියාත්මක විය.

මෙම වැඩසටහනේ පළමු දින පුරාවටම පැවති ක්‍රියාකාරකම් මෙහෙයවීමේ වගකීම පැවරී තිබුණේ පමුණුගම තරුණ ක්‍රිස්තියානි සංගමය වෙතයි. මෙම වගකීම් ඉටුකිරීම සඳහා සංගමය සමඟ The Born to Win Relationships ආයතනයද අත්වැල් බැඳගත් අතර, දිනය පුරා දරුවන්ගේ නායකත්වය ප්‍රවර්ධනය වන ආකාරයේ ක්‍රියාකාරකම් කිහිපයක් සඳහා BTWRs  ආයතනයේ වන්නිආරච්චි මහතා,  සංගමයේ උපදේශක අරුණ ශාන්ත නෝනිස් මහතා සහ ප්‍රධාන ලේකම් රිද්ම ෆොන්සේකා විසින් සම්පත් දායකත්වය ලබාදෙන ලදී. 

මෙම ක්‍රියාකාරකම් තුලින් නායකත්වය හඳුනා ගැනීම, අරමුණු සහ ඉලක්ක ඉටුකර ගැනීම සඳහා ප්‍රමුඛතාවය දිය යුතු කාරණා තේරුම් ගැනීම, නායකත්ව හැකියාවන් ප්‍රවර්ධනය කිරීම යන අංශ කෙරෙහි අවධානය යොමු විය.  දිනය අවසානයේ ගිනිමැලයක් සංවිධානය කොට තිබූ අතර ගිනිමැලයක් සංවිධානය කිරීම පිළිබඳව පුහුණුවක්ද ශිෂ්‍ය නායක නායිකාවන් වෙත ලබා දෙන ලදී.

සංගමයේ හිටපු සභාපතිනියක මෙන්ම එම පාසලේ ගුරු මණ්ඩලයේ සාමාජිකාව වන රසිකා තිසේරා මහත්මිය ඇතුළු කාර්ය මණ්ඩලයේ ආරාධනායෙන් පමුණුගම තරුණ ක්‍රිස්තියානි සංගමය මෙම පුහුණු වැඩ සටහන් සඳහා සම්බන්ධ විය.

YMCA of Pamunugama together with The Born to Win Relationships extended the support to St.Mary's Model School to train their prefects at the Prefects Training Workshop held from 22 - 23 October at the School premises. There were 35 prefects were trained in the programme.

On an invitation received from the School, Mr. Dileepa Wanniarachchi of BTWR, Mr. Aruna Nonis and Ridma Fonseka from Pamunugama YMCA joined the programme as facilitators and led sessions through out the 1st day. 

During the day, children attended number of activities where they experienced different aspects of leadership. Understanding leadership and qualities required to become a leader, priorities for a leader were among highlighted topics during the day. At the end of the day, there was a session on conducting a campfire and also a campfire where the prefects had the opportunity to entertained themselves as well as the staff and parents who attended.

සනීපාරක්ෂාව සඳහා කාන්තාවන්ට ඇති අයිතිය තහවුරු කරමු - Securing Women Rights for Hygiene Facilities

සනීපාරක්ෂක තුවා මිල අතිෂයින් ඉහල යෑමත් සමඟ කාන්තාවම දැඩි අපහසුතාවයන්ට මුහුණපාමින් සිටී. විශේෂයෙන් පාසල් යන වයසේ ගැහැණු දරුවන්ගේ අධ්‍යාපන කටයුතු සඳහාද මෙම තත්වය බලපා ඇති බව බොහෝ ප්‍රදේශවලින් වාර්තා වේ. එක් පසකින් මෙය කාන්තාවන්ට පමණක් සුවිශේෂී කාරණයක් මෙන්ම ජන සමාජය තුළ විවෘතව කතා නොකෙරෙන මාතෘකාවක් බැවින් බොහෝදෙනාගේ අවධානයෙන් ගිලිහී ඇත. ඒ අනුව කාන්තාවන් හට සනීපාරක්ෂාව සඳහා ඇති අයිතිය දැඩි ලෙස අවදානමකට ලක්වී ඇත.

මෙම තත්වය යටතේ පමුණුගම තරුණ ක්‍රිස්තියානි සංගමය ඩෙන්මාර්කයේ ශාන්තා ජෝර්ජ් වැඩිහිටි බාලදක්ෂ කණ්ඩායම හා එක්ව නැවත භාවිතාකල හැකි සනීපාරක්ෂක තුවා කට්ටල පාසල් යන වයසේ සිසුන් 95 දෙනෙකුට ලබාදීමේ වැඩසටහනක් ආරම්භ කරන ලදි. මීට සමගාමීව පාසල් යන වයසේ දරුවන් මෙන්ම ඔවුන්ගේ දෙමාපියන්වද කාන්තා සනීපාරක්ෂාව සහ යහපත් මානව සබඳතා ගොඩනගා ගැනීම හරහා දරුවන් ආරක්ෂා කරගැනීම පිළිබඳව දැනුවත් කිරීමක්ද සිදුවේ.

මෙහි පලමු අදියර 2022 ඔක්තොම්බර් මස 8 වන දින මීගමුව ජනාවබෝද කේන්ද්‍රයේ දී පැවති අතර, මෙම වැඩසටහ සඳහා ජනාවබෝද කේන්ද්‍රය හා සම්බන්ධ කාන්තා සමිති නියෝජනය කරමින් ගැහෑනු දරුවන් සහ දෙමාපියන් 50 කට ආසන්න පිරිසක් සහභාගී විය. මෙම වැඩසටහන සඳහා සංගමයේ නියෝජිතයින් 6 දෙනකු සහ ජනාවබෝද කේන්ද්‍රයේ ප්‍රධාන ලේක්ම්තුමියද සහභාගී විය. දෙවන පියවර ඔක්තෝම්බර් මස 15 වන දින පමුණුගම තරුණ ක්‍රිස්තියානි සංගමයේ දී පැවැති අතර එහිදී සංගමයට සම්බන්ධ දැරියන් 15 දෙනකු සහ ඔවුන්ගේ මව්වරුන් දැනුවත් කිරීම් සහ සනීපාරක්ෂක තුවා කට්ටල බෙදාදීම සිදුවිය. මෙම වැඩ වැඩසටහන් දෙකෙහිම දරුවන් හා දෙමාපියන් දැනුවත් කිරීම පමුණුගම තරුණ ක්‍රිස්තියානි සංගමයේ හිමල්ෂා චමෝදි මහත්මිය විසින් සිදුකල අතර මේ වනවිට සනීපාරක්ෂක තුවා කට්ටල 45 ක් බෙදාදීම සිදුකර ඇත.

Increasing prices of sanitary napkins, has become an added burden to the women in Sri Lanka among many other hardships they are going through at the moment . It is reported from many areas that this situation has also affected the education of girls. Due to the nature of the issue and cultural barriers in discussing openly, this has been neglected by many responsible parties. As a result, women's right to sanitation is severely compromised.

Under this situation, Young Men's Christian Association of Pamunugama started a program to provide reusable sanitary napkin sets to 95 school age students in collaboration and sponsorship of Sct. George Gilderne (Fellowship of Adult Scouts) in Denmark.

Along with this distribution, girls in school age as well as their parents are also educated on menstrual hygiene related issues and the importance of maintaining a good child-parent relationship.

The first phase of this was held on the 8th of October 2022 at the Janavaboda Kendraya in Negombo. Nearly 50 mothers and girls and parents participated in this program representing the Women's Groups associated to the Janavaboda Kendraya. 6 representatives YMCA and the Chief Executive Officer of Janavaboda Kendra also participated in this program. Second phase of the distribution and the awareness was held at the YMCA of Pamunugama for 15 girls and their parents attached to various YMCA programmes. Mrs. Himalsha Chamodi of the YMCA of Pamunugama joined as the resource person to raise awareness on both events. 46 sets of sanitory pads are distributed so far. We extend a special thank to Ms. Gitte Staehr for coordinating this kind and timely action.

ළමා දිනය සැමරූ පමුණුගම තරුණ ක්‍රිස්තියානි සංගමයේ දරුවන් - Children of Pamunugama YMCA celebrates the Children's Day

ඔක්තෝම්බර් පළවෙනි දිනට යෙදෙන ළමා දිනය පමුණුගම තරුණ ක්‍රිස්තියානි සංගම් වාර්ෂික වැඩසටහන් කැලැන්ඩරේ අනිවාර්ය අංගයකි. දරුවන් සඳහා වෙන් කර ඇති මෙම සුවිශේෂී දිනය සැමරීම සඳහා පමුණුගම තරුණ ක්‍රිස්තියානි සංගමයේ තරුණ හවුලේ නායකත්වයෙන් එක්දින කඳවුරක් ඔක්තෝම්බර් 1 වන දින පැවැත්විණ. 

මෙම කඳවුර සඳහා සංගමයේ ආබාධ සහිත දරුවන් සඳහා වූ පාසල,  බාලදක්ෂ කණ්ඩායම, නැටුම් කණ්ඩායම ඇතුළු වැඩසටහන් හා සම්බන්ධ වන දරුවන් 55 දෙනෙකු සහභාගි වූ අතර තරුණ හවුලේ සාමාජික සාමාජිකාවන් දස දෙනෙකුගේ සහයෝගය මෙම කඳුර සඳහා ලැබිණ.

සහභාගි වූ දරුවන්ගේ විනෝද විනෝදාස්වාදය උදෙසා විවිධ ක්‍රියා ක්‍රියාකාරකම්, කණ්ඩායම් ක්‍රීඩා මෙන්ම හැකියාවන් ඉදිරිපත් කිරීම සඳහා වූ විශේෂ අංගයන්ගෙන් මෙම වැඩසටහන සමන්විත විය. උදෑසන වරුවේ ක්‍රියාකාරකම් සංගම් භූමියේ දී පැවති අතර සවස්ව වරුවේ  ක්‍රියාකාරකම් සංවිධානය කොට තිබුණේ සරක්කුව වෙරළ තීරයේ දී ය. 

Children's Day is one of the main calendar events of the YMCA of Pamunugama. With the leadership of Youth Club, day camp was organized to mark this special day on 01 October 2022.

55 children representing the Scout Group, School for Children with Disabilities, Dancing Group attended the event while10 leaders from the Youth Club gave leadership to different activities at the event.

Number of games, group activities and adventure activities were organized during the day to entertain the participants on this special day dedicated for children. Activities during the morning session was held at the YMCA and the evening activities were held at the Sarakkuwa Beach.
