YMCA Youth Camp 2022 in Mirigama - මීරිගම YMCA තරුණ කඳවුර 2022

YMCAs of Moratuwa, Pamunugama and Negombo jointly organized a Youth Camp from 26 - 28 August at the Lee Dasanayake Scout Training Center. Prior to the physical programma an online preparatory programme was held on 24 August with the registered participants.

There were 42 young people representing the 3 YMCAs attended the event and it was a rare opportunity for young people after a couple of years. Covid 19 pandemic from 2020 and lately the economic and political crisis situation in Sri Lanka have not created opportunities for such gatherings. 

Activities of the camp were designed to raise awareness on the YMCA and to redefine the mission of the YMCA in the current context while safeguarding its identities and Christian values. There were discussions to understand the current crisis context in Sri Lanka. Participants have listed a number of justice and youth related issues as well as activities that young people could take up the leadership in responding those issues.

Participants also spent time in getting to know each other through activities and dialogues on different topics resulting a good relationship among the participants of 3 YMCAs. Special session on Music and Young people held to encourage young people to use art in a meaningful manner in YMCA work and in their lives. There was an introduction session to the game Kubb and participants had fun playing it.

Participants have agreed to discuss the decisions taken at the Camp in their respective youth club meetings and to update other groups at a Zoom meeting to be held within 2 weeks to evaluate the progress.

පමුණුගම, මොරටුව සහ මීගමුව යන තරුණ ක්‍රිස්තියානි සංගම්හී එකමුතුවෙන් සංවිධානය කෙරුණ 2022 තරුණ කඳවුර මීරිගම ලී දසනායක බාලදක්ෂ පුහුණු මධ්‍යස්ථානයේදී අගෝස්තු මස 26 සිට 28 දක්වා දිනයන්හීදී පැවැත්වින.

2020 වසරේ සිට කොවිඩ් 19 වසංගතය සහ පසුව ඇතිවූ ආර්ථීක සහ දේශපාලනික ගැටළු හේතුවෙන් මෙවැනි අවස්තාවක් තරුණයින් හට හිම්වූයේ බොහෝ කලකට පසු වීම විශේෂත්වයකි. මෙම වැඩසටහන සඳහා තරුණ ක්‍රිස්තියානි සංගම් තුන නියෝජනය කරමින් තරුණ තරුණියන් 42 ක් සහභාගීවිය.

තරුණ ක්‍රිස්තියානි සංගමය පිළිබඳව දැනුවත් වීම සහ එහි අරමුණු හඳුනා ගැනීම සඳහා සාකච්ඡා පැවති අතර, රටෙහි පවතින ගැටළුකාරී තත්වය හමුවේ තරුණ ක්‍රිස්තියානි සංගමයේ මැදිහත්වීම කෙබඳු විය යුතුද යන්න මෙන්ම ගැටළු හඳුනා ගැනීම සහ ඒවාට ප්‍රතිචාර දැක්වීම සඳහා වැඩසටහන් නිර්මාණය කිරීම පිළිබඳවද සාකච්ඡා සිදු කෙරින. 

වැඩසටහන සඳහා සහභාගීවූ තරුණ ක්‍රිස්තියානි සංගම් අතර සුහදතාවය වර්ධනය වන ආකාරයේ ක්‍රියාකාරකම් කීපයක්ම සිදුකිරීමට අවස්ථාව හිමි වූ අතර ගීතය සහ තාරුණ්‍යය පිළිබඳව සංවාදශීලී වැඩසටහනක් මෙන්ම බොහෝ දෙනෙකුට අලුත් ක්‍රීඩාවක් වූ කුබ් ක්‍රීඩාව හඳුන්වාදීමද මෙහිදී සිදුකෙරින. 

වැඩසටහන අතර තුර සිදුවූ එකඟතාවයන් පිළිබඳව තම තනන්ගේ තරුණ කණ්ඩායම් අතර සාකච්ඡා කොට ප්‍රගතිය පිළිබඳව සංගම් තුන අතර බෙදා ගැනීම සඳහා පසු විපරම් වැඩසටහනක් ඉදිරියේදී Zoom ඔස්සේ පැවැත්වීමට නියමිතව ඇත.

යළි ඇරඹුණු පස්වරු පාසල - Afternoon YMCA School

YMCA Afternoon School Programme started to provides educational support to students who had only 3 days a week of school until 12 August 2022 due to ongoing economic crisis in the country.

There are volunteer teachers on every afternoon on week days and Saturdays mornings in the YMCA providing assistance with different subjects.

Depending on the developments in the educational sector the future of the afternoon school will be decided by the YMCA leadership.

පවතිය වාතාවරණය හමුවේ අඩපණ වී ඇති දරුවන්ගේ අධ්‍යාපනය නගා සිටුවීන සඳහා YMCA පස්වරු පාසල අරඹා ඇත. සතියේ සෑම දිනකම සහ සෙනසුරාදා උදෑසනයන්හීදී විවිධ විශයන් ආවරණය කරමින් ස්වේච්ඡා ගුරුවරුන්ගේ දායකත්වයෙන් මෙම වැඩසටහන පැවැත්වේ.

2 ශ්‍රේණියේ සිට 11 ශ්‍රේණිය දක්වා විශයන් කිහිපයක්ම ආවරණය වන පරිදි පන්ති  පැවැත්වීමට කටයුතු යොදා ඇත.

අගෝස්තු මස 12 දක්වා දින සතියකට දින තුනක් පමණක් පැවති පාසල් දින පහ පුරාවටම පැවැත්වීමට කටයුතු යොදා ඇත. ඉදිරියේදී සිදුවන වෙනස්කම් නිරීක්ෂනය කිරීමෙන් අනතුරුව පස්වරු පාසල පවත්වාගෙන යෑම පිළිබඳව තීරණය කිරීමට නියමිතව ඇත. 

සෙනසුරාදා දින දිවා ආහාර වැඩසටහන - Lunch for YMCA Saturday Programme participants

පමුණුගම තරුණ ක්‍රිස්තියානි සංගමයේ සෙනසුරාදා දිනයන්හි පැවැත්වෙන ළමා වැඩසටහන් සඳහා සහභාගි වන සියලුම දරුවන් හට දිවා ආහාරය ලබා දීමේ වැඩසටහනක් ජූලි මස 9 වන දින සිට ආරම්භ විය.

රටෙහි පවතින ආර්ථික අපහසුතා හමුවේ දරුවන්ගේ පෝෂණ මට මට්ටම සීඝ්‍රයෙන්යෙන් පහළ වැටී ඇති බවට වාර්තා වේ. මෙම තත්ත්වයට ප්‍රතිචාර දක්වමින් දරුවන්ගේ පෝෂණ මට්ටම් සුළු වශයෙන් හෝ නගා සිටුවීමේ අරමුණ පෙරදැරිව මෙම වැඩ වැඩසටහන් ක්‍රියාත්මක වේ.  

මූලික අදියර යටතේ මාස තුනක් සඳහා මෙම වැඩසටහන ක්‍රියාත්මක කිරීමට සැලසුම් යොදා ඇති අතර ඒ සඳහා මූල්‍යමය සහය මියුනිච් තරුණ ක්‍රිස්තියානි සංගමය සහ ඇස්කර් තරුණ ක්‍රිස්තියානි සංගම් බාලදක්ෂ කණ්ඩායම විසින් ලබා දෙයි.

ආහාර පිසීම සඳහා ස්වේච්ඡා දායකත්වය දෙමාපියන් විසින් ලබා දෙන  අතර දිවා ආහාරය සමබර ආහාර වේලක් ලෙස ලබාදීමට යුහුසුළුව කටයුතු කරයි.

මේ වන විට මෙම වැඩසටහන සති හතක් පුරාවට ක්‍රියාත්මක වූ අතර සෑම සතියක ම පාහේ ආහාර වේල් 45ත් - 50ත් අතර ප්‍රමාණයක් පිළියෙල කෙරේ.

Community Kitchen Project is a new initiative of Pamunugama YMCA together with the YMCA YWCA Scouts of Asker in Norway and Munich YMCA. With the economic crisis in Sri Lanka it is reported that the nutrition levels of the children in Sri Lanka are deteriorating. 

Responding the the situation YMCA launched this project to provide children with a balanced meal on every Saturday at the YMCA premises.

Lunch has been provided for 7 weeks so far on every Saturdays since 9th of July and will be continued for 3 months under the initial stage. Proximately 45 - 50 meals are prepared every week and parents of the YMCA children members give their fullest support to prepare meals as volunteers. 

National Declaration on Disability Inclusion - ආබාධ සහිත පුද්ගලයින් අන්තර්කරණය පිළිබඳව ජාතික ප්‍රකාශනය

පමුණුගම තරුණ ක්‍රිස්තියානි සංගමය ශ්‍රී ලංකා දෘශ්‍යාබාධිත සුබ සුභසාධක සංගමය සමග  එක්ව දියත් කළ අන්තර්කරණය සඳහා වූ ව්‍යාපෘතියේ වැදගත් පියවරක් ලෙස එකගතා ප්‍රකාශනය එළිදැක්වීම් 2022 ජුලි මස් 06 වන දින Zoom ඔස්සේ පැවැත්විණ. මේ සඳහා අන්තර්තර් කරණය සඳහා වූ ජාතික එකමුතුවේ සාමාජික සාමාජිකාවන් ඇතුළු සමාජ ක්‍රියාධරයින් තිස් දෙනෙකු පමණ සහභාගී විය.

In order to continue the long term activities for Disability Inclusion a document comprise of concerns and  agreements were declared by the National Collective for Disability Inclusion (NCFDI) at an event held on 06 July via zoom. Over 30 members representing the National Collective For Disability Inclusion and social activists attended the event.
