Global Disability Summit 2022 - ආබාධ සහිත පුද්ගලයින් සඳහා වූ ගෝලීය සමුළුව 2022

Members of the collective formed to worked for the rights of the people with disabilities had a zoom meeting on 24 January 2022 to learn about the Global Disability Summit. During the meeting members were informed on the background and the objective of the Global Disability Summit as well as practical arrangements for the scheduled summit to be held from 14 - 17 February, 2022. 

Quoting the Global Disability Summit web page it was mentioned that ''The Global Disability Summit offers a concrete mechanism for collecting new, ambitious, and widespread commitments which are critical to achieving real change for persons with disabilities. The first Global Disability held in 2018 (GDS18) was a historic event for disability inclusion, co-hosted by the UK Department for International Development (DFID), the Government of Kenya, and the International Disability Alliance (IDA). The GDS18 inspired unprecedented engagement and generated commitments to action that will help deliver Agenda 2030’s vision to ‘Leave No One Behind’ (LNOB) as well as existing obligations under the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD).

Members were also given a demonstration on registration process collective members have agreed to mobilise their members to get registered for all three major events covering Youth Summit, Civil Society forum and the Main Event. 

සිවිල් සංවිධාන, තරුණ සංවිධාන සහ ආබාධ සහිත ප්‍රඡාව ඇතුළත් සංවිධානයන ඒකරාශී කොට පිහිටුවා ඇති එකමුතුවේ රැස්වීමක් 2022 ජනවාරි මස් 24 වන දින සූම් ඔස්සේ පැවැත්විණ. එහි දී පැවැත්වීමට  නියමිත ලෝක ආබාධ සහිත ප්‍රජාව ගේ සමුළුව සම්බන්ධයෙන් එකමුතුවේ සාමාජිකයන් දැනුවත් කරන ලදී. 

Global Disability Summit වෙබ් පිටුව උපුටා දක්වමින් එය සඳහන් කළේ ''ආබාධ සහිත පුද්ගලයින් සඳහා සැබෑ වෙනසක් සාක්ෂාත් කර ගැනීම සඳහා තීරණාත්මක වන නව, අභිලාෂකාමී සහ පුළුල් කැපවීම් එකතු කිරීම සඳහා සංයුක්ත යාන්ත්‍රණයක් ගෝලීය ආබාධිත සමුළුව ඉදිරිපත් කරයි. 2018 දී පවත්වන ලද පළමු ගෝලීය ආබාධිතභාවය (GDS18) ආබාධිතයන් ඇතුළත් කිරීම සඳහා වූ ඓතිහාසික සිදුවීමක් විය. එය එක්සත් රාජධානියේ ජාත්‍යන්තර සංවර්ධනය සඳහා වන දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව (DFID), කෙන්යාවේ රජය සහ ජාත්‍යන්තර ආබාධිත සන්ධානය (IDA) විසින් සම සත්කාරකත්වය සපයන ලදී. GDS18 පෙර නොවූ විරූ ලෙස ආබාධ සහිත ප්‍රජාවට සම්බන්ධ වීමට සහ ඉදිරි ක්‍රියාකාරී කැපකිරීම් පිළිබඳව ලෝක ප්‍රජාව ඉදිරියේ ප්‍රතිඥා ලබාදීදීමට අවස්ථාවක් විය. මෙම  ක්‍රියාවලිය 2030 වසරේදී ළඟා කර කර ගැනීමට බලාපොරොත්තු වෙන තිරසාර සංවර්ධන අරමුණු කරා යන ගමනට මහත් පිටුවහලක් වනු ඇත.

පෙබරවාරි මස් 12 සිට 17 දක්වා පැවැත්වීමට නියමිත මෙවර සමුළුව තරුණ සමුළුව සිවිල් සංවිධාන ෆෝරමය සහ ප්‍රධාන සමුළුව ලෙස කොටස් තුනකින් සමන්විත වේ.  මේ සඳහා ලියාපදිංචි වීම පිළිබඳව එකමුතුවේ සාමාජිකයන් දැනුවත් කර අතර  ශ්‍රී ලංකාව නියෝජනය කරමින් කණ්ඩායමක් සහ සහභාගි වීමට නියමිතව ඇත.

Introduction to the Advocacy Tool Kit for Network Members - බලපෑම් ක්‍රියාවලියක් සඳහා මාර්ග මාර්ගෝපදේශනයක්

Atlas Alliance of Norway has introduced a new tool kit that can be used in the advocacy work and campaigning for the fulfilment of the human rights of the people with disabilities. This tool kit has been widely shared among partners of atlas worldwide.

YMCA together with Sri Lanka Welfare Society of the Blind organized a workshop to introduce this new tool kit to the network of CSOs, DPOs (Disabled people's Organizations) and Youth Groups which is formed under the leadership of YMCA and the Sri Lanka Welfare Society of the Blind to work in collaboration for the human rights of the people with disabilities in Sri Lank.

During the session the toolkit was presented to the participants and explained the major components of it. Even though the toolkit is fairly a technical document at first glance the facilitator Mr. Aruna Nonis mentioned that this tool kit is very practical and useful in planning, implementing and monitoring the campaign activities that are already planned and to be planned by the newly formed network. Tool kit will be further studied at the National Summit scheduled for later and the representatives from network will use the tool kit in a practical manner at the national summit when preparing the National Action  proposal to be widely presented at the end  April 2022.

ආබාධ සහිත ප්‍රජාවගේ අයිතිවාසිකම් තහවුරු කර කරගැනීම සඳහා වන බලපෑලපෑම් වැඩසටහන් සැලසුම් කිරීමේදී, ක්‍රියාත්මක කිරීමේදී සහ ඒවා  අධීක්ෂණය  කිරීම සඳහා භාවිතා කළ හැකි මාර්ගෝපදේශ මාලාවක් නෝර්වේ රාජ්‍යයේ Atlas එකමුතුව විසින් සකසා ඇත. මේ වන විට ඇට්ලස් ආයතනය හා සම්බන්ධ කණ්ඩායම් සමඟ මෙම මාර්ගෝපදේශන මාලාව බෙදා ගෙන ඇති අතර ලෝ වටා සංවාදයට  සංවාදයට ලක්වෙමින් පවතී.

පමුණුගම තරුණ ක්‍රිස්තියානි සංගමය සංගමය සහ ශ්‍රී ලංකා දෘශ්‍යාබාධිතයින් ගේ සුබසාධන සංගමය  මූලිකත්වයෙන් මේ වන විට සාදා ඇති සිවිල් සංවිධාන ආබාධ සහිත පුද්ගලයන්ගේ සංවිධාන හා තරුණ සංවිධාන අයත් ජාලයේ නියෝජිතයන් හට මෙම මාර්ගෝපදේශන මාලාව හඳුන්වා දීම සඳහා විශේෂ වැඩමුළුවක් 2022 ජනවාරි මස 15 වන දින සංවිධානය කෙරිණ.  Zoom පැවති මෙම වැඩ වැඩසටහන් සඳහා පනස් දෙනෙකුට අධික පිරිසක් සහ සහභාගි වූ අතර මෙම   මාලාවේ අයත් ප්‍රධාන අංග සම්බන්ධයෙන් වූ මූලික හැඳින්වීමක් සිදු කරන ලදී.

හඳුන්වා දීම සිදු කරනු ලැබුවේ පමුණුගම තරුණ ක්‍රිස්තියානි සංගමයේ උප උපදේශක අරුණශාන්ත නෝනිස් මහතා විසිනි.  අදහස් දක්වමින් ඔහු පවසා සිටියේ මෙම මාර්ගඋපදේශ මාලාව තරමක් දුරට තාක් තාක්ෂණික ලියකියවිල්ලක් ලෙස පෙනුනද ඉතා පහසුවෙන් තේරුම් ගත හැකි පරිදි සකසා ඇති බවත් ප්‍රායෝගික භාවිත භාවිතයේදී ඒ ඉතා ප්‍රයෝජනවත් වනු ඇති බවත් ය. ඉදිරියේදී සංවිධානය කිරීම්ට නියමිත ජාතික සමුළුවේදී මෙම මාර්ගෝපදේශ මාලාව ප්‍රායෝගිකව උපකාරී කරගනිමින් ඉදිරිපත් කිරීමට නියමිත ජාතික වැඩ සැලැස්ම සැකසීමේදී යොදා ගැනීමට නියමිතව ඇත.

Training on the Issues of people with disabilities - ආබාධ සහිත පුද්ගලයන් මුහුනදෙන ගැටලු පිළිබඳව ප්‍රජාව දැනුවත් කිරීම

YMCA of Pamunugama together with the Sri Lanka Welfare Society of the Blind have launched a new advocacy  project to safeguard the rights of the people with disabilities in Sri Lanka. Number of organizations representing CSOs, Youth Groups and DPOs have already agrees to work in collaboration in this project. Under this new project, a training programme was held on 14 January 2022 via zoom with a participation of over 50 representatives from Civil Society Organizations, Youth Groups and Organizations of people with disabilities. there were two main sessions in the training. 

During the first session Ms. Nisha Sherif, the President of Right for Us shared her views on the ground realities of people with disabilities in Sri Lanka. She educated the participants on the physical barriers that people with disabilities go through in their day today life as well as the attitudinal barriers. She further mentioned, the lack of education and awareness on disabilities and the exclusion of people with disabilities are the major reasons for the pathetic situation of people with disabilities in Sri Lanka. 

Second session was facilitated by Ms. Nilani Manthrinayake who is a lawyer working the the rights of the people with disabilities. During her session she educated the participants on practical challenges that people with disabilities go through in their day today life. She mentioned that, while we struggle to update the existing laws and regulations for the betterment of people with disabilities it is important to be aware on existing cover from law the people with disabilities so people can practice it to maximum level. 

Sharing views at the end participants mentioned that they the process already started should be carried forward and their organizations are committed till we reach our objective of creating a reasonable environment for the people with disabilities to have a dignified life.

තරුණ ක්‍රිස්තියානි සංගමය සහ ශ්‍රී ලංකා දෘශ්‍යාබාධිතයින්ගේ  සුභසාධක සංගමය එක්ව දියත් කොට ඇති ආබාධ සහිත පුද්ගලයින්ගේ  අයිතිවාසිකම් දිනා දිනාගැනීම සඳහා වූ බලපෑම් ව්‍යාපෘතියේ ආරම්භක පියවරක් ලෙස  සිවිල් ගැනීම සඳහා වූ  කණ්ඩායම් සහ ආබාධ සහිත පුරවැසියන් නියෝජනය කරන සංවිධාන නියෝජිතයන් දැනුවත් කිරීමේ වැඩ වැඩසටහනක් 2022 ජනවාරි මස 14 වන දින zoom ඔස්සේ පැවැත්විණ. උදය වරුව පුරා පැවති මෙම වැඩ වැඩසටහන් ප්‍රධාන ඉදිරිපත්කිරීම් දෙකකින් සමන්විත වූ අතර ඒ  සඳහා පනස් දෙනෙකුට අධික පිරිසක් සහ සහභාගීව විය. 

වැඩසටහන් ආරම්භ කරමින් අයිතීන් උදෙසා අපි සංවිධානයේ සභාපතිනි නීෂා ෂෙරිෆ් මෙනවිය පළමු අදහස් දැක්වීම් සිදු කළ අතර එහිදී ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ ආබාධිත සහිත පුරවැසියන් මුහුණ දෙන අභියෝග් සහ යථාර්ථය පිළිබඳව අදහස් ඉදිරිපත්පත් කරන ලදී. මෙහිදී ආබාධ සහිත පුරවැසියන් මුහුණ දෙන භෞතික සහ ශාරීරික  අභියෝග මෙන්ම  ආකල්පමය අභියෝග් පිළිබඳව ඇයිගේ අවධානය යොමු විය. ඉන් අනතුරුව පැවති සංවාදයේදී එක්ව සිටිති ආබාධ සහිත කණ්ඩායම් යෝජනය කරන සංවිධාන  නියෝජිතයන් විසින් තමන්ගෙ අත්දැකීම් අනුසාරයෙන් අදහස් ඉදිරිපත් කරමින් සංවාදය පෝෂණය කරන ලදී.

වැඩසටහනේ දෙවන ඉදිරිපත් කිරීම සිදු කරනු ලැබූවේ ආබාධ සහිත ප්‍රජාව වෙනුවෙන් කටයුතු කරන නීතිඥ තුමියක වන නිලානි මන්ත්‍රීනායක මහත්මිය විසිනි.  ඇයගේ ඉදිරිපත් කිරීම අතරතුරදී ආබාධ සහිත ප්‍රජාව මුහුණ දෙන ප්‍රායෝගික නීතිමය අභියෝගයන් පිළිබඳවව ඇය අදහස් දක්වන ලදී. විශේෂයෙන්ම දැනට පවතින ප්‍රතිපාදන අනුව ආබාධ සහිත ප්‍රජාවට හිමිවී ඇති නීතිමය ආවරණය පිළිබඳව ඇය සහභාගි වී සිටි පිරිස් දැනුවත් කරන ලදී. 

අනාගතයේ දී ආබාධ සහිත ප්‍රජාවගේ අයිතිවාසිකම් තහවුරු වන පරිදි පවතින නීති රෙගුලාසි සහ අණපනත් යාවත්කාලීන කර ගැනීම සඳහා වැඩ කටයුතු කරන අතරම, දැනට පවතින නීතිමය ප්‍රතිපාදනයන් පිළිබඳව ජනතාව තුළ  දැනුවත් භාවයක් ඇති කිරීම තුළින් පවතින තත්ත්වය තරමක් දුරට හෝ යහපත් අතට හැරවීමට හැකි වනු ඇතැයිී ඇයගේ අදහස් විය. 

වැඩසටහන් අවසානයේ සහභාගි වූ පිරිස් අදහස් දක්වමින් පවසා සිටියේ  අප දැනටමත් ආරම්භ කොට ඇති මෙම ක්‍රියාවලිය ඒකාබද්ධව ඉදිරියට ගෙන යා යුතු බවත් ඒ සඳහා තම සංවිධාන කැපවීමෙන් කටයුතු කරන බවත්ය. සිවිල් සංවිධාන සහ තරුණ ප්‍රජාව අදහස් දක්වමින් පවසා සිටියේ ප්‍රමාද වී හෝ මෙවැනි ක්‍රියාවලියකට දායක වීමට ලැබීම සම්බන්ධයෙන් තමන් සතුටු වන බවයි ඉදිරියේදී ආබාධ සහිත ප්‍රජාවගේ අයිතිවාසිකම් සහ ඒවාට අදාළ නීති තහවුරු කරගැනීම සඳහා සිවිල් සංවිධාන සහ වෙනත්  ප්‍රජා කොටස් එක්ව කටයුතු කිරීම ඉතා වැදගත් බවත් ය.

New Year Joint Prayer Meeting with Munich Friends - නව වසරේ සඳහා මියුනිච් මිතුරන් සමඟ ඒකාබද්ධ යාච්ඤාව වැඩසටහන

YMCA of Pamunugama members and staff joined with the volunteers and staff from Munich YMCA to pray for each others work for new year. During the prayer meeting YMCA Pamunugama and Munich YMCA shared updates, programmes, dreams and challenges for the year 2022. Then prayed together asking wisdom and knowledge from the father in heaven. There were around 20 members attended this zoom gathering.

පමුණුගම තරුණ ක්‍රිස්තියානි සංගමයේ සහ මියුනිච් තරුණ ක්‍රිස්තියානි සංගමයේ සාමාජික සාමාජිකාවන් සහ කාර්යය මණ්ඩලය එක්ව 2022 වසරේ සංගම් දෙකෙහි සැලසුම්, වැඩසටහන් සහ අභියෝග පිළිබඳව බෙදාගැනීමක් සිදුකරන ලදි. ඉන් අනතුරුව මෙම සැලසම් සාර්ථව ක්‍රියාත්මක කිරීමටත් අභියෝග සඳහා මුහුණ දීමට අවැසි ශක්තිය හා මැදිහත්වීම පතා දෙවිපියානන්ට එක්ව යාච්ඤා කරන ලදි. සූම් ඔස්සේ පැවති මෙම වැඩසටහන සඳහා 20 දෙනෙකු පමණ සහභාගී විය.

Annual Concert 2021 - වාර්ෂික විවිධ ප්‍රසංගය 2021

Annual Concert of the YMCA of Pamunugama is an Annual Event where the children attached to different departments showcase their talents at the end of every year in front of an audience. Due to the Covid 19 health regulations, large gatherings were not allowed and YMCA could not hold the concert as usual.

YMCA felt it is too good to miss such an opportunity for children due to pandemic. Therefore the YMCA of Pamunugama made this pre-recorded video presentation with different acts, dances performed by the Pre-School Children, Makalause Dream School (YMCA School for children with disabilities) and the Children’s Club. Even though the video is made in Sinhala (local language) you will be able to enjoy the dances and acts.
