විශේෂ හැකියාවන් සහිත පුද්ගලයින් වෙනුවෙන් මුහුණු පොතේ පිටුවක් දිගහැරේ

විශේෂ හැකියාවන් සහිත පුද්ගලයින්ගේ ප්‍රවර්ධනය වෙනුවෙන් කටයුතු කරන සංවිධාන කීපයක එකතුවෙන් පසුගිය වසරේදී විශේෂ හැකියාවන් සහිත පුද්ගලයින් සඳහාවූ එකමුතුව පිහිටුවා ගන්නා ලදි. මේ වන විට මෙම එකමුතුව මඟින් කොවිඩ් 19 තත්වය තුළ අපහසුතාවයට පත්ව සිටින එම එකමුතුවට අයත් දරුවන් වෙනුවෙන් විශේෂ අධ්‍යාපණික වැඩසටහන් සහ දනුවත් කිරීමේ වැඩසටහන් මාලාවක්ද සංවිධානය කෙරින. 

විශේෂ හැකියාවන් සහිත පුද්ගලයින් මුහුණ දෙන ගැටළු පිළිබඳව සමාජයේ විශේෂ අවධානයක් යොමු කරමින් ඔවුන්ගේ අයිතිවාසිකම් තහවුරු කිරීම අත්‍යවශ්‍ය කරුණක් සේ සලකා කටයුතු කිරීමට මෙම එකමුතුව එකඟවී ඇත. එහි ප්‍රධාන පියවරක් ලෙස මුහුණු පොත හරහා දැනුවත් කිරීමේ ක්‍රියාවලියක් ආරම්භකොට ඇති අතර ඒ සඳහා Collective for Specially Abled නමින් මුහුණු පොතේ පිටුවක් ආරම්භකොට ඇත. 

ඉදිරියේ දී එම පිටුව හරහා විශේෂ හැකියාවන් සහිත පුද්ගලයින් පිළිබඳව පුළුල් කතිකාවතක් ආරම්භකිරීමට බලාපොරොත්තු වන අතර ඒ සඳහා සහභාගීවන මෙන් ඔබ සැමට ඇරයුම් කරමු.

සංගමයේ අධ්‍යාපණික වැඩසටහන් ප්‍රවර්ධනය කරමින් ඇරඹි ශාන්තසිරි අනුස්මරණ ශිෂ්‍යත්ව වැඩසටහන

අප සංගමය මඟින් දරුවන්ගේ අධ්‍යාපනික ප්‍රවර්ධනය වෙනුවෙන් සිදුකරන්නාවූ වැඩකටයුතු තවදුරටත් පුළුල් කරමින් පමුණුගම තරුණ ක්‍රිස්තියානි සංගමය විසින් ක්‍රියාත්මක කරන නවතම ශිෂ්‍යත්ව වැඩසටහන ලෙස ශාන්තසිරි හෙට්ටිආරච්චි අනුස්මරණ ශිෂ්‍යත්ව වැඩසටහන හදුන්වාදිය හැක.

දුන්ගාල්පිටිය ප්‍රදේශයේ ජිවත්ව දැනට එක්සත් අරාබි එමීර් රාජ්‍යයේ ජීවත්වන ශාන්තිලාල් හෙට්ටිආරච්චි මහතාගේ පූර්ණ අනුග්‍රයෙන් මෙම ශිෂ්‍යත්ව වැඩසටහන ක්‍රියාත්මක කෙරෙන අතර තම පියාණන් සිහිවනු පිණිස  මෙම වැඩසටහන ශාන්තසිරි හෙට්ටිආරච්චි අනුස්මරණ ශිෂ්‍යත්ව වැඩසටහන ලෙස නම් කර ඇත.

ශිෂ්‍යත්ව ප්‍රතිලාභීන් ලෙස 2021 වර්ශයේ අ.පො.ස. සාමන්‍ය පෙළ විභාගය සඳහා මුහුණ දීමට නියමිත සිසු සිසුවියන් පස්දෙනෙකු තෝරාගනු ලැබූ අතර ඔවුන් තෝරා ගැනීමේදී දරුවන්ගේ අධ්‍යාපන කුසලතා හා පවුලේ ආර්ථික අපහසුතා සැලකිල්ලට ගැනීමක් සිදුවිය. මෙම ශිෂ්‍යත්ව වැඩසටහන යටතේ එක් දරුවකුට රු.2,000/= බැගින් වූ මුදලක් මාසිකව හිමිවේ.

ශිෂ්‍යත්ව වැඩසටහන ආරම්භ කරමින් කෙටි ආරම්භක රැස්වීමක් 2021.06.26 වන සෙනසුරාදා දින සවස 2.00 ට පමුණුගම තරුණ ක්‍රිස්තියානි සංගමයේදී පැවැත්වූ අතර ඒ සඳහා ශාන්තලාල් හෙට්ටිආරච්චි මහාතා ද සූම් තාක්ෂණය ඔස්සේ අප හා සම්බන්ධවිය. එහිදි අදහස් දැක්වූ එතුමා දරුවන්ගෙන් සහ දෙමාපියන්ගෙන් ඉල්ලා සිටියේ, පමුණුගම තරුණ ක්‍රිස්තියානි සංගමය හරහා එතුමා ලබා දෙන සහයෝගය තම අධ්‍යාපණ කටයුතුහී ප්‍රවර්ධනය සඳහා දායක කරගන්නා ලෙසයි. එමෙන්ම ජීවිත අරමුණු ලඟාකර ගැනීම සඳහා අධ්‍යාපනය ඉතා වැදගත්වන බවද එතුමා සිහිගන්වන ලදි. එමෙන්ම මෙම දරුවන් සඳහා ඉදිරියේදී ද හැකි පමණ දායකවීමට එතුමා කැමැත්තෙන් පසුවන බව දන්වාන ලදි.

අප සංගමය හා එක්ව ප්‍රදේශයේ දරුවන්ගේ අධ්‍යාපණික ප්‍රගමනයෙහි ලා එතුමා දක්වන්නාවු මූල්‍යයමය සහ අදහස්මය දායකත්වය පිළිබඳව සංගමයේ ස්තූතිය එතුමන්හට පුදකර සිටිමු. 

New Facebook Page for Collective for Specially Abled

Collective for Specially Abled is a group of organizations and individuals working for the betterment of the Specially Abeld Community. Makalause Dream School of the YMCA of Pamunugama is a major partner of the group and playing an active role. This collective has conducted several educational programmes lately and also trying the intervene for the right of the specially abled community. 

As a part of the advocacy campaigned of the collective a new Facebook Page has been created. In the future collective will post different materials on the page educating the public on the rights of specially abled as well as the issues  they face as an eye opening for the society to be more sensitive.

Shanthasiri Hettiarachchi Memorial Scholarship - New initiative to support O/L students

Further strengthening the Educational Programme of the YMCA of Pamunugama, a new Scholarship Programme has been launched recently. Through this Scholarship Project, 5 GCE Ordinary Level students who are preparing for their examination at the end of year 2021 will be supported with a monthly scholarship of Rs 2,000/= each. 

This project is fully supported by Mr. Shanthalal Hettiarachchi who is currently living in United Arab Emirates. Mr. Hettiarachchi is originally from Dungalpitiya (neiboring village to where YMCA of Pamunugama locates). Mr. Hettiarachchi has been a well-wisher of Pamunugama YMCA and he has also made contributions in the past to the YMCA of Pamunugama. This new scholarship programme is named as Mr. Shanthasiri Hettiarachchi Memorial Scholarship. Mr. Shanthasiri  is the late father of Mr. Shanthalal. 

Scholarship Project launching meeting was held at the YMCA of Pamunubama on 26 June, 2021 with the participation of students, parents, (Mr. Dhanuka Jayamanne) President of Pamunugama YMCA, (Mr. Aruna Shantha Nonis) Advisor of Pamunugama YMCA and YMCA of Pamunugama staff. Mr. Shanthalal Hettiarachchi also joined this special moment via zoom making this meeting a memorable one. 

Speaking to students and parents Mr. Shanthalal mentioned that education is the best way to achieve life goals and encouraged student to make full use of the support he is providing to students through the YMCA of Pamunugama. He also guaranteed that he will continue to support these students in their further studies as long as it is possible for him. 

We the YMCA of Pamunugama take this opportunity thank Mr. Shanthalal Hettiarachchi for his very generous act as well as his examplinary decision to support younger generation to achieve their educational goals.
