Annual Outdoor Camp held in Kuruvita
Meals on the table made by campers |
Despite heavy rain throughout, number of activities took place during the camp. First day the campers put-up tents and settled in the campsite. Second day the pioneering activities was a novel experience and capers managed to make a tower and a table. Campfires, indoor and ourdoor games provided entertainment for the campers. 3 hour hike went to a temple. Warm welcome by the incumbent priest and the villagers with sweets and a tea after a tired walk was a very nice experience and helped to make new friends and relationships.

Having Makalause Dream Students was a highlight of the programme since it was the first outdoor camp for them. It made everyone realized that children with special abilities also could do the things that every-other does with some extra effort and support by the people around them.
Programme was led by the Scout Leader of Pamunugama YMCA with the support of staff and parents. YMCA of Pamunugama thank the scout leaders of Moratuwa for opening up the campsite for us and the Scout leaders of Bronnoysund including Jens Kristian and Kirsten Ostergaard for joining us in the camp.
