YMCA Day Celebrations begin with Fund Raising Flag Day
Starting the YMCA day celebrations the Children's Club of the YMCA of Pamunugama today held a flag-day in the Negombo town.
16 Children and 3 YMCA youth leaders and staff joined the event and the flags were sold along with a leaflet creating awareness on the YMCA and its activities among the people in the town.
Most importantly the collection of the flag-day is to be utilized to provide flood effected children with stationery. Major YMCA day celebration to be held on next Sunday (12 June) at the YMCA of Pamunugama and the flag selling will be continued through-out the next week. We invite all our friends and well-wishes to join hand-in-hand with us to raise funds as much as possible as the need is far greater than we could achieve within a week.
