One of the highlights of the evening was the presence of Mr. Sugath Wasantha De Silva, a parliamentarian representing persons with disabilities, and his wife. In his speech, Mr. De Silva praised YMCA Pamunugama for its meaningful work and encouraged everyone to continue promoting inclusion for persons with disabilities.The evening included two wonderful dance performances, adding color and joy to the celebration. A video greeting from Asker YMCA brought an international connection to the event. Stefan Nicklas, General Secretary of Munich YMCA, delivered the keynote speech, sharing warm wishes and words of encouragement. Niranga, representing the National Council of YMCAs of Sri Lanka, also extended greetings and congratulations.
Friends from Negombo, Moratuwa, and Kandy joined in, making the event even more special. Guests enjoyed snacks, drinks, and a delicious dinner in a friendly and cheerful atmosphere.
The celebration was a beautiful reminder of YMCA Pamunugama’s long journey, the dedication of its members, and its plans for the future. It ended with a strong message of gratitude, unity, and hope for continued success.
