Christmas Gifts Bring Joy to YMCA Pamunugama Children

The YMCA of Pamunugama continued its yearly tradition of sharing Christmas joy with children from its programmes, including the Scouting group, Makalause Dream School, Pre School and the Pamunugama Girls' Home. These gifts are kindly sent every year by Help Orphans Now, a Christian group from Australia.

This year, the gift distribution was held on December 20 and 21, 2024. Some family members of the Help Orphans Now group also joined, making the event even more special.

The YMCA of Pamunugama sincerely thanks the donors for their ongoing support, which has brightened the Christmas season for so many children.

සංගමයේ මැදිහත් වීමෙන් මෙවරත් දරුවන්ට නත්තල් තිළිණ

සෑම වසරකම පාහේ ඕස්ට්‍රේලියාවේ Help Orphans Now ආයතනයේ අනුග්‍රහයෙන් පමුණුගම තරුණ ක්‍රිස්තියානි සංගමයේ වැඩසටහන් සඳහා සම්බන්ධ වන බාල දක්ෂ බාලදක්ෂිකාවන්,  මාකලෝසා සිහින පාසලේ දරුවන්, පෙර පාසලේ දරුවන් සහ පමුණුගම බාලිකා නිවාසයේ දරුවන් සඳහා ත්‍යාග පිරිනැමීම මේ වසරේදී ද දෙසැම්බර් මස 20 වන දින සිදු කෙරිණ. 

මේ සඳහා Help Orphans Now නියෝජනය කරමින් ඔවුන්ගේ පවුල් හි සාමාජික සාමාජිකාවන් කිහිපදෙනෙකුම සම්බන්ධ විය. මෙම වැඩසටහන යටතේ දරුවන් දෙසීයකට ආසන්න පිරිසක් පමුණුගම තරුණ ක්‍රිස්තියානි සංගමය හරහා ත්‍යාග ලැබිණ. වාර්ෂිකව නොකඩවා සිදුකරන මෙම මහඟු ක්‍රියාව සම්බන්ධයෙන් මේ සඳහා දායක වන සියලු දෙනා හට පමුණුගම තරුණ ක්‍රිස්තියානි සංගමය ස්තූතිය පුදකර සිටිමු.

පමුණුගම තරුණ ක්‍රිස්තියානි සංගමයේ දරුවන් මේ වසරේදීත් සුපුරුදු පරිදි නත්තලේ  සතුට සහ සාමයේ කුමරාගේ පැමිණීමේ  සුභ පණිවිඩය රැගෙන ගම්මානය පුරා කැරොල් ගීතිකා ගායනා කරමින් දෙසැම්බර් මස 20 වන දින සංචාරයේ යෙදෙන. මේ සඳහා  දරුවන් තිස් පස් දෙනෙකු පමණ සහභාගී වූ අතර ඔවුන්ට සහාය වන්නට යොවුන් හවුලේ තරුණ තරුණියන් එක්වින. 

Children visit houses with carrols

On December 20th, the YMCA of Pamunugama held its annual carol-singing event, spreading the joy of Christmas and celebrating the arrival of the Prince of Peace. A group of thirty-five children, joined by members of the Youth club, went from house to house singing carols. Their cheerful voices brought festive joy to each home they visited.

ස්ටෙෆාන් සහ මාටින්ගේ පමුණුගම සංචාරය

පමුණුගම තරුණ ක්‍රිස්තියානි සංගමයේ පනස්වන සැමරුම සඳහා විශේෂ අමුත්තන් ලෙස මියුනිච් තරුණ ක්‍රිස්තියානි සංගමයේ ප්‍රධාන ලේකම් වන ස්ටෙෆාන් නික්ලස් මහතා සහ එම සංගමයෙහි ස්වේච්ඡා  සාමාජිකයකු වන මාටින් මහතා සහභාගි විය. ඔවුන් දෙදෙනාම ස්තුති පුද කිරීමේ දිව්‍ය මෙහෙයට සහ සන්ධ්‍යාවේ පැවැති ප්‍රධාන සැමරුම් උළෙලට සම්බන්ධ විය. 

ඉන් අනතුරුව දින කීපයක් පමණුගම රැඳී සිටි ඔවුහු තරුණ තරුණියන් සමඟ මෙනෙහි කිරීමේ වැඩසටහනකට නායකත්වය ලබා දෙන ලදී.  තරුණ ක්‍රිස්තියානි සංගමයේ කාර්යමණ්ඩලය සහ පාලක මණ්ඩල සාමාජික සාමාජිකාවන් සමඟ සාකච්ඡා කීපයකටම එක් වූ ඔවුන් පමුණුගම සහ මියුනිච් අතර ඉදිරියේදී ඒකාබද්ධව කටයුතු කරන ආකාරය පිළිබඳවද සංවාද කරන ලදී. 

ඔවුන් දෙදෙනා දෙසැම්බර් 7 වන දින ලංකාවට පැමිණි අතරින් දෙසැම්බර් 10 දින මාටින් මෙරටින් පිටත් වූ අතරින් 11 දින ස්ටෙෆාන්සේ තවත් රැස්වීම් කීපයක් සඳහා කොළඹ බලා පිටත් විය.  මොවුන් දෙදෙනාගේ පැමිණීම සංගමයට මහත් ගෞරවයක් වන අතර ඒ පිළිබඳව පමුණුගම තරුණ ක්‍රිස්තියානි සංගමය ඔවුන්ට ස්තූතිවන්ත වෙමු.

Stefan and Martin Visit Strengthens YMCA Friendship between Munich and Pamunugama

Stefan Nicklas, General Secretary of Munich YMCA, and Martin, a good friend and a volunteer, visited YMCA Pamunugama from December 7 to 11, 2024, to celebrate and strengthen the friendship between the two YMCAs.

They arrived on December 7 and participated in the 50th Anniversary Thanksgiving Service and Evening Celebration. They also led sharing and keynote speech at both the events.  After the events, they spent time with the YMCA members, creating lasting memories.

Stefan and Martin had a reflections with the youth, played cricket together on several occasions, and met with the YMCA President, Treasurer, staff, and board members. These moments allowed them to connect and discuss the future of the friendship between Pamunugama and Munich YMCAs.

Martin departed on December 10, and Stefan on December 11, leaving behind an inspiring example of friendship, collaboration, and shared purpose within the YMCA family.
