A Kubb Tournament was held on November 19th at the Pamunugama YMCA grounds, with children and scouts from both the Negombo YMCA and Pamunugama YMCA participating. A total of 33 children competed in 11 teams.
After the first round of league matches, the team representing the Pamunugama YMCA—Sihansa, Sugeetha and Vishwa—emerged victorious in the final, securing an impressive win. The runner-up was the team from the Negombo YMCA, consisting of Sanidu, Anuhas and Hirushi.
This Kubb Tournament was more than just a sporting event; it was a meaningful day that promoted cooperation, friendship, fun, and happiness among the children of both YMCAs. The event highlighted the YMCA’s ongoing commitment to developing children’s abilities and character through sports.
