ගංවතුරෙන් ආපදාවට පත් දරුවන් සඳහා වව්චරපත් පිරිනැමේ.

තරුණ ක්‍රිස්තියානි සංගම් නිර්මාතෘ දිනය වූ ජුනි මස 06 වන දින පමුණුගම සහ මීගමුව තරුණ ක්‍රිස්තියානි  ඒකාබද්ධව ජාඇල, කණුවන, ඇලෙක්සැන්ඩ්‍රා වත්ත ප්‍රදේශයේ ගංවතුරින් අවතැන් වූවන් සඳහා දිවා ආහාර පාර්සල් සියයක් ලබා දෙන ලදී.  එම අවස්ථාවේදී කරන ලද ඉල්ලීමකට අනුව ආපදාවට ලක් වූ එම පවුල්වල දරුවන් සඳහා 20 දෙනෙකු සඳහා පාසැල් උපකරණ මිලදී ගැනීම සඳහා අවශ්‍ය වන වව්චර් පත් බෙදා දීමක් ජුනි මස 26  දින සිදු විය.  එක් දරුවකු සඳහා රුපියල් හාරදහසක් වටිනා වව්චර් පත් මෙහිදී ප්‍රධානය කෙරිණ.  

පමුණුගම සහ මීගමුව යන තරුණ ක්‍රිස්තියානි සංගම් දෙකෙහි ඒකාබද්ධ ඉල්ලීමකට අනුව මේ සඳහා මූල්‍යමය දායකත්වය තරුණ ක්‍රිස්තියානි සංගම් ජාතික සභාව විසින් ලබා දෙන ලදී.  වව්චර්පත් බෙදා දීමේ අවස්ථාවට සංගම් දෙකෙහි ප්‍රධාන ලේකම්වරු සම්බන්ධ වූ අතර ජා ඇල ප්‍රාදේශීය සභාවේ ආපදා  කළමනාකරණ නිලධාරිතුමාගේ මැදිහත්වීමෙන් ප්‍රදේශය භාර ග්‍රාම නිලධාරිනිය විසින් වැඩසටහන සම්බන්ධීකරණය සිදුකරන ලදී.

Distribution of Vouchers for Stationery among flood effected students

As a follow-up of the lunch packet distribution among flood effected families at Alexandrawatta, Kanuwana Ja-ela on Founders Day (06 June 2024) YMCA of Pamunugama and Negombo have provided 20 students from the same effected community with vouchers valued Rs 4,000/= each to purchase school stationery items. On a request made by Pamumugama and Negombo YMCAs, National Council has provided funds for this relief activity. General Secretaries of Pamunugama and Negombo YMCAs attended the distribution. It was coordinated by the Grama Niladari of Alexandrawatta and the Disaster Management Officer of Ja-ela Divisional Secretariat.

Western, Central, and Southern Regional Children's Camp

Western, Central, and Southern Regional Children's Camp was held from the 21st to the 23rd of June 2024 at the Tamil Vidyalaya grounds in the Maha Oya estate. The camp brought together 36 children from the Pamunugama, Negombo, Moratuwa, and Kandy YMCAs. It was organized by the Western, Central, and Southern Regional Council with full support and sponsorship from the National Council of YMCAs of Sri Lanka. The camp's activities were led by 16 leaders from the participating associations. Mr. Sudesh Mendis played the role of Camp Director

The camp's opening ceremony featured Mr. Niranga Fernando, General Secretary of the National Council. Following the ceremony, participants engaged in group activities to get to know each other and later a session on outdoor camping skills.

A highlight of the second day was a hike across the estate, where participants enjoyed views of spectacular waterfalls and learned about the rubber and Katupol plantations. Other notable activities included camp song singing and a campfire show.

Swimming in the river near the campsite was a delightful experience for both the children and the leaders. On the third morning, after cleaning the campsite, the group took a photo at the plantation superintendent's bungalow. They expressed their gratitude to Mr. Amala Kuruppu, the Plantation Superintendent of the Lalan group, and his staff for their support in making the camp a success.

Afterward, the children and leaders returned to their respective YMCAs. Nine children and four leaders represented the YMCA of Pamunugama at the camp.

බස්නාහිර සහ මධ්‍යම පළාත් තරුණ ක්‍රිස්තියානි සංගම් හි ළමා එකමුතුව.

පමුණුගම, මීගමුව, මොරටුව සහ නුවර යන තරුණ ක්‍රිස්තියානි සංගම් නියෝජනය කරමින් ළමා සාමාජික සාමාජිකාවන් 36 දෙනෙකුගේ සහභාගිත්වයෙන් ළමා කඳවුරක් 2024 ජුනි මස 21 - 23 යන දිනයන්හි මහා ඔය වතුයායේ පිහිටා ඇති දෙමළ විද්‍යාල භූමියේදී පැවැත්විණ. මෙම කඳවුර සංවිධානය කර තිබූයේ  තරුණ ක්‍රිස්තියානි සංගම් ජාතික සභාව සමඟ එක්ව බස්නාහිර, මධ්‍යම සහ දකුණු පළාත් ප්‍රාදේශීය තරුණ ක්‍රිස්තියානි සංගම් එකමුතුව විසිනි.  කඳවුර අතරතුර පැවැති  ක්‍රියාකාරකම් සඳහා නායකත්වය ලබාදෙනු ලැබුවේ කඳවුරු අධ්‍යක්ෂක සුදේශ් මැන්ඩිස් මහතාගේ නායකත්වයෙන් යුතුව සහභාගී වූ තරුණ ක්‍රිස්තියානි සංගම් නියෝජනය කළ නායක නායිකාවන් 16 දෙනෙකු විසිනි.

තරුණ ක්‍රිස්තියානි සංගම් ජාතික සභාවේ ප්‍රධාන ලේකම් නිරංග ප්‍රනාන්දු මහතාගේ ප්‍රධානත්වයෙන් කඳවුරේ ආරම්භක උත්සවය පැවැති අතර ඉන්පසුව එකිනෙකා හ ඳුනා ගැනීම සඳහා වූ කණ්ඩායම් ක්‍රියාකාරකම් කිහිපයකට මෙන්ම එළිමහන් කඳවුරුකරණයේ දී අවශ්‍ය වන කුසලතා වර්ධනය සඳහා වූ ක්‍රියාකාරකමකට සහභාගි විය.

දෙවන දිනය තුළ පැවති වැඩසටහන් අතර වතුයාය පුරා පැවැති පා ගමන විශේෂ විය.  එහිදී ඔවුන් හට දර්ශනීය දිය ඇලි කිහිපයක් දැකබලා ගැනීමට මෙන්ම, රබර් සහ කටුපොල් වගාව  සිදුවන ආකාරය පිළිබඳව දැනුවත් වීමටද හැකි විය. කඳවුරු ගීත ගායනය,  ගිනි මැල සංදර්ශනය එදින පැවති අනෙකුත් වැඩසටහන් අතරින් විශේෂත්වයක් ගැනින. 

කඳවුරු භූමියෙන් ගලා ගියා කුඩා අතු ගංගාවේ දිය නාමින් විනෝද වීමට කඳවුර පුරාවට දරුවන්ට ලැබුණු අවස්ථාව දරුවන්ට මෙන්ම නායක නායිකාවන්ට ද  විනෝදජනක  අත්දැකීමක් විය. තුන්වන දින උදෑසන කඳවුරු භූමිය පිරිසිදු කිරීමෙන් අනතුරුව ඊට යාබදව පිහිටින වතු අධිකාරි තුමන්ගේ බංගලාව වෙත ගොස් දරුවන් සමූහ පින්තූරයකට සහභාගි වීමෙන් අනතුරුව කඳවුර සාර්ථක කර ගැනීම සඳහා දායකත්වය දැක්වූ ලලාන් සමූහයේ වතු අධිකාරී අමල කුරුප්පු මහතාට සහ එතුමාගේ කාර්ය මණ්ඩලයට ස්තූතිය පුදකෙරිණ. 

ඉන් අනතුරුව දරුවන් සහ නායක නායිකාවන් තම තරුණ ක්‍රිස්තියානි සංගම් වෙත නික්මිණ. මෙම කඳවුර සඳහා පමුණුගම තරුණ ක්‍රිස්තියානි සංගමය නියෝජනය කරමින්  දරු දැරියන් නම දෙනෙකු සහ නායක නායිකාවන් හතර දෙනකු සම්බන්ධ විය.

2024 ජුනි 6 වන දින YMCA ව්‍යාපාරය එහි 180 වැනි උපන්දිනය සනිටුහන් කළේය. එම විශේෂ අවස්ථාව සමරමින් පමුණුගම සහ මීගමුව තරුණ ක්‍රිස්තියානි සංගම් විශේෂ වැඩසටහනක් දියත් කලේ මේ මොහොත වන විට ගංවතුරින් අවතැන්ව සිටින ජනතාව වෙත සහනයක් වීමේ අරමුණ පෙර දැඩිවයි. 

ඒ අනුව තරුණ ක්‍රිස්තියානි සංගම් දෙකෙහි තරුණ නායක නායිකාවන්ගේ මූලිකත්වයෙන් ජා ඇල ඇලෙක්ස්සැන්ඩ්‍රාවත්ත ප්‍රදේශයේ අවතැන්වී සිටින 100 දෙනෙක් සඳහා දිවා ආහාර පාර්සල් සැපයීම සිදුකෙරුණා. 

මෙම සහන මෙහෙයුම ක්‍රියාත්මක කිරීමේදී ඇල ප්‍රාදේශීය ලේකම් කාර්යාලයේ ආපදා කළමනාකරණ නිලධාරි සහ ප්‍රදේශයේ ග්‍රාම නිලධාරීතුමියගෙ සහයෝගය ලැබිණ.  

මෙම ඒකාබද්ධ ප්‍රයත්නය විපතට පත් වූවන්ට අත්‍යවශ්‍ය ආහාර සැපයීම පමණක් නොව YMCA ව්‍යාපාරයේ මූලික සාරධර්ම වන ප්‍රජා සේවය, සහයෝගීතාවය සහ තරුණ නායකත්වය ඉස්මතු කරනු ලැබුවා.

YMCA Movement's 180th Birthday Celebrated with Flood Relief Effort

On June 6, 2024, the YMCA movement marked its 180th birthday. With the recent devastating floods that have plagued the country for the past week, resulting in widespread displacement and numerous fatalities, the YMCA of Pamunugama and YMCA of Negombo decided to merge their celebratory activities with a much-needed flood relief initiative.

This year's celebration took on a special meaning as the youth leaders from both YMCAs led the effort to provide immediate assistance to those affected by the floods. They prepared 100 lunch packets and distributed them to families in Alexandrawatta, Ekala Jaela, one of the severely affected areas.

The relief operation was a collaborative effort supported by key local authorities, including the Disaster Management Officer of the Divisional Secretariat and the Grama Niladari of the area. Their involvement ensured the aid reached the most vulnerable and in-need families swiftly and efficiently.

This combined effort not only provided much-needed sustenance to those in distress but also highlighted the core values of the YMCA movement—community service, solidarity, and youth leadership.
