Pamunugama YMCA organised a Six a Side Cricket Tournament for the youth teams in the area on 26 February, 2017 at Dungalpitiya Public Ground. 11 teams representing Pamunugama, Dungalpitiya, Thalahena, Negombo, Delathura and Katunayake areas participated the Tournament held through out the day. 10 matches were played during the day and the overcast gloomy conditions made things much easier for the players to stay in the ground without much troubles from the burning sun. Katunayake All Rounders were the victories team of the tournament claiming the trophy for the winning team while the Super Six team from Thalahena grabbed the trophy for runners-up. Winners were also awarded with cash prices. Thushara from Katunayake All Rounders team won a special award for his match winning performances in the final game.
