පමුණුගම තරුණ ක්‍රිස්තියානි සංගමයේ ආදර්ශ වූ ගෙවතු වගාව ව්‍යාපෘතියට සමගාමීව බාලදක්ෂ බාලදක්ෂිකාවන් දැනුවත් කිරීමේ වැඩ වැඩසටහනක් ජුනි මස 2 වන සෙනසුරාදා සංගමයේ දී පැවැත්විණ.
පළමුව දේශනයක් මාර්ගයෙන් දරුවන්ව දැනුවත් කිරීම සිදුකළ අතර සංගමයේ දැනට පවත්වාගෙන යනු ලබන ආදර්ශ ගෙවත්ත භාවිතා කරමින් එම දැනුම් ප්‍රායෝගිකව අත්හදා බැලීම්ටද දරුවන්ට මෙහිදී අවස්ථාව හිමි විය. මේ සඳහා සම්පත්දායක ලෙස කෘෂි උපදේශක සුසිල් ප්‍රසන්ත මහතා සහභාගී විය.
මෙම වැඩ වැඩසටහන් සඳහා බාලදක්ෂ බාලදක්ෂිකාවන් තිස් දෙනෙකු සහභාගි වූ අතර මීට් සම සමගාමීව දරුවන්ගේ නිවෙස් වල ගෙවතු වගා ආරම්භ කිරීමට උනන්දු කරවීම සඳහා පැල කට්ට ලබාදීමටද කටයුතු යොදමින් සිටී.
YMCA of Pamunugama organized a home gardening training programme for the scouts of the YMCA of Pamunugama on 02 July, 2022 at the YMCA of Pamunugama premises. This was organized as an extention of the Model Farm Project of the YMCA of Pamunugama which was started early 2022 to response to the current economic crisis.
Children were educated through a presentation and a practical session at the YMCA model farm by Mr Susil Prasantha who is an agriculture advisor.
30 scouts attended the event and as a follow-up YMCA have made arrangements to distribute a set of plants among the participants to encourage them to start their own home gardens.
